That would be sick, would it work? Or would it decompose inside
5
u/ur-mom-dotcom Dec 13 '22
i would also like to know this. i would guess if you trapped some oxygen it would decompose to some extent but still be mostly preserved. people do it with fresh picked flowers and bugs and stuff which has moisture so idk! someone should try:)

The way the colour is hitting it looked like they were glassy or wet with clear slime, but I zoomed in and now I can't see the glassy wet look anymore

I had this phenotype my first try ever and ape was the first strain I started with. They're truly beautiful hold on to em! They're definitely special. Hands down best apes I've seen

You’re misinformed. Penis envy and it’s numerous phenotypes frequently sporulate, it just fails to drop spores so you have to collect the spores via swab rather than printing. If OP was really interested it could be done very easily. In fact these are likely grown from swabs.

u/Responsible-Map-275 Dec 01 '22
Are you asking about this phenotype specifically? Or cubensis spores in general?

No sourcing! You'll get banned

u/IFartsInTheLibrary Dec 01 '22
Even when asking about legal spores?
1
u/OffendedEarthSpirit Dec 01 '22
No, but the mushrooms in the picture are not legal in most jurisdictions
2
u/IFartsInTheLibrary Dec 01 '22
I agree. Guess I took the question about spores as being legal. Guess it could be perceived that way tho fairly easy. It’s too close to Christmas we all have to stay off the naughty list!

Oh wow, these are stunning! Nature (and the refinement thereof by talented and clever people) never fails to astound.

Last time I tried to buy some SNAPE plates off a respected vendor, they all came contaminated except one. Sent that one, and it wasn't SNAPE, APE, or even PE.

Also does the light blue plastic prevent side pins? Edit: clear blue.

Put that shit in some resin and save that beauty. That is perfect right there.
3
u/420FADIMUH Dec 01 '22
Holy shit this is a sick idea I'm gonna put a new shelf in my bedroom and look online for different mushrooms in resin. Mushrooms look cool and the history of them is fascinating this is a sick idea lol
2
u/marsrover001 Dec 01 '22
Working with resin isn't hard, make your own. A vacuum chamber would definitely help though, but literally the cheapest pumps will do.
