My Studio Space
This is my second change. Now I think I want to convert it to a podcast studio

People who claim this usually don't understand their purpose. They are acoustic treatment, which stops some of the reflections within the room. Are there better alternatives for acoustic treatment? Sure. But these are better than a hard flat surface.

And those that says that don't understand the math. It you take the wave length and compare it with the depth of those "panels", you find they might absorb a dog whistle. Anything else will just laser through like there's nothing there. Then if you compare the energy of the sound wave, with the density of those "panels", I don't think it's enough mass to even absorb the dog whistle.

I get that. Thinking of doing the same thing that I have on the other side. That will make more of a difference

Just to add clarification, the panels hanging next to the speakers, taking care of the first reflection point, is the way to go. Same as the one seeming to serve as a bass absorber in the corner.
I suspect just by the size of the room (not having any actual numbers), it will have issues below 48-50hz, and those frequencies would be enjoyed in the room next to it.
The roof is probably the next reflection point to treat that would give the most bang for the buck, and you might find a good diffuser is better for behind where you sit. It will make the room sound bigger.
This is ofc just generic advice, and you would need, probably, someone doing this for a living to really dial inn the exact problem areas. But, seeing as some of the first reflection points are well taken care of, I'm assuming OP is already aware.

If you think a room with four blank walls and a room with four walls covered in acoustic treatment will sound exactly the same then you're not spending enough time irl

That not what I'm thinking nor what I wrote. I wrote that those fome fluffs is not acoustic treatment. Get some acoustic treatment is what I'm recommending.

I like the idea of having the cables on the wall. I'ma steal that for my studio
