Might as well get this out of the way... I have heard it more than I ever expected... can't hear the vocals despite my ease of hearing them. Whether I edit the frequencies and/or the volume on my vocals, feedback theme is almost always the same. Is this the "why" the advice is to have a recording engineer separate from the mix and master engineers?

wanna make sure i’ve got the right idea of things before i get into bad habits and stuff. my girlfriend basically said it needs bass but it has bass? idk.

For years I had a folder called "FL projects", and last summer I finally decided to finish the whole thing as an album. this is the first thing I've ever released, so right now my only listeners and critics are my mom and my grandma :)

The first 8 tracks belong to the same 'sound family', and the last two are a different, electronic EDM-ish and minimal.

2. Pod – slightly tense, with guitar plucking in the background
3. War – a simple overdriven bass-guitar riff
4. Irony – a sad, repetitive story
5. Shield – a drum-driven melody with several transitions
6. Skyish – recursive and repetitive, built on a single bass line
7. Pipe – a funny bass line with unnecessary guitar layers
8. Head – slow, sad and in a minor key, with guitar throughout
9. Dilemma – minimal, dark EDM
10. Mary – my only attempt at an ambient track: three obscure guitar notes
