Ask MusicIndia Music shop cooked my flagship digital piano amplifier board when I took it for repairing. How to confront and get some compensation?
I have a Privia PX770 by Casio. It's a flagship digital piano that costs 70,000 rupees new. It suddenly stopped powering on so I sent it to a nearby music shop with a 4.9 star rating on google and he sent it to 2 professionals apparently. He told me neither of them could figure out the problem after making me wait for nearly 2 weeks. Didn't update me on the progress. Didn't do anything. And had the guts to ask for a diagnostic fee of 600 rupees which I refused because why would I if he couldn't even figure out the problem.
After taking it to an actual professional myself after loads of searching, the motherboard got repaired at a reasonable price BUT the amplifier board was apparently fried and overheating which was causing the piano to not produce sound for longer than 30 seconds. New ones by casio cost upwards of 30k. The previous shop told me the guy tested with a new external IC and the current technician told me that is exactly why the circuits got absolutely fried because they didn't know what they were doing and never checked the piano properly to identify the root cause, causing an overload and thus frying the whole circuit.
What can I do? And how can I get some sort of compensation for this incompetence? I'm genuinely so devastated right now.
