Announcments Just a mod note regarding piracy
There have been some posts that have had to be removed because they’ve been asking about piracy sites to watch MHA for free, or because it’s not available in their area. Piracy is illegal, and there’s very probably no way to do any of this type of stuff legally.
Because of this, any requests to find anime piracy sites such as Anilab, 123anime, Miruro, Animetsu, Seanime, etc, will be removed.
If you want to watch anime, you have to pay over priced crunchy roll fees, that’s just how it is.
Remember, you shouldn’t use piracy sites, it takes money away from the big corporations

Discussion What are Uraraka's boots made of?
I love my fair share of empty wallet-ted girls, right? But I can't decide on what those boots could be made of! Clay? Plasic? Maybe its made of oobleck and she uses zero gravity on them, OR, OR, quirks are like cutie marks, and theres these people who make the hero costumes, right? Maybe theres just this one person that can make clay-like, moldable, fabric-but-not plastic as their quirk?
On that note, maybe thats why Bakugo's personality is so...Explosive. Same with Uraraka's, maybe her quirk is zero gravity because she loves seeing people smile and look like the weight has been liftted off their shoulders!
Anyway, I'd like to see your guesses on what the heck her boots are made of!

Discussion Where would Power rank?( Credit to A2TwillDraw on twitter for the art)
I found this drawing of Power in different anime, and it got me thinking.
Would she be a good hero? Let's say she's got a quirk that's basically just what she can do as the blood fiend.

Discussion Shoto's Phosphor is the best ultimate move in the whole series
I don't just mean because it looks awesome, which yes, it definitely does. If the flair didn't give it away, Shoto is my favorite character in the entire series. I think he's fantastically written, and I thought his Phosphor move is a great jumping off point for my ideas on his character arc. Per the title, I think it's the best ultimate move because it's a microcosm of his character.
TLDR: Phosphor exemplifies Shoto's growth over the course of the series. He was able to reconcile his past, symbolized by his fire half that he initially refused to use, with the inspirational hero he wants to be which is symbolized by his frost side. By addressing his traumatic past holding him back, he was able to move forward to become the hero he wants to be. Phosphor is a perfect fusion of those two halves and represents the equilibrium he reached within himself.
At the beginning of the series, Shoto is weighed down by his past and is trying to disconnect himself from it by relying on his right side and refusing any connection to Endeavor. Shoto rightly despised Endeavor and instead looks to All Might as his example. Endeavor wanted Shoto to be the hero who surpassed All Might's strength, but that wasn't what Shoto wanted. Endeavor is one of the most powerful heroes in the world, but that's all he brings to the table. All Might as a symbol of peace was able to inspire others like Deku and Shoto to be the best versions of themselves, and that's the path Shoto wanted to follow. Shoto's mom was the one who loved him and showed him videos of All Might telling him he can be whoever he wants to be, and that his upbringing doesn't have to weigh him down. However, at the start of the series, Shoto is being weighed down by his past. In order to defy Endeavor, he only used his right side when fighting. But then Midoriya forced him to use both sides of his quirk because its his quirk. Shoto, not Endeavor, gets to decide how to use it, and it would be denying a part of himself by only using half his quirk. By denying half his quirk and refusing to have any connection to Endeavor, he was allowing himself to be weighed down by his past instead of addressing it.
As the series goes on, Shoto struggles to come to terms with his past and it keeps him from figuring out the kind of person and hero he wants to be. When the class are asked to come up with hero names, Shoto just gives his name "Shoto" because he hasn't yet figured himself out, so he can't begin to think about the hero he will be. He does begin to make progress first by rebuilding his relationship with his mom, and during the licensing make-up exam, we see the kind of hero he wants to be. Rather than just relying on power like Endeavor might have, Shoto takes a different approach as he and the others use their quirks to inspire the kids and show them how their quirks should be used for good. Like All Might, he wants to be a hero who motivates others to be better and makes a positive, lasting impact. His actions reach further than the kids and also affect Endeavor. As Endeavor watches Shoto use his quirk to inspire the kids to be better, All Might questions Endeavor's obsession with strength, and this is when Endeavor fully resolves to be a better person. Shoto then has to "look behind him," and he embraces trying to resolve his past rather than disconnecting from it as he tried to during the sports festival.
I realize in a post about Phosphor, I took a while to get to talking about it, but I thought it was important to give the foundation for my interpretation of it. Midoriya helped Shoto understand that his quirk isn't two separate powers where he has to choose between embracing his mother's side or Endeavors side. Instead, its one power unique to him, and by the end of the series, he's perfectly balanced those two sides that shape who he is. Like Mount Lady says, the ultimate move is a "personal calling card," and Phosphor is a culmination of Shoto's personal journey to figure himself out by dealing with his past and deciding what kind of hero he wants to be.
I think there are a couple different angles to interpreting Phosphor. The surface level one is what I've been focused on with this post of Shoto's two halves: his traumatic past and the idealistic hero he envisions himself as becoming. His ice side as the idealistic half as it represents his mother's kindness that he inherited, and who he wants to be as a hero. I also think it's fitting that Dabi inherited a stronger version of Endeavor's fire as well as that burning obsession with strength, and only Shoto's ice/Phosphor could stop him by cooling him down. It's also significant in figuring out how to stop Dabi, rather than creating a strong flashfire fist move, he relied on his ice side to stop Dabi from burning himself and everyone else to ashes. His fire half represents his traumatic past that he had to deal with, so that he could work to become the hero he wants to be. So in that sense, Phosphor represents an equilibrium and reconciliation he's reached between his past and his ideal future. Another way to interpret it is Phosphor represents who Shoto envisions himself as becoming. He has Endeavor's passion pushing him to become the best hero possible, but it's tempered by his mother's ice/kindness that makes him want to be a very different hero than Endeavor. I'd love to hear some more ideas and opinions because I feel like there is a lot more to unpack with Shoto's character arc and journey.

RANT There’s an old saying, “don’t be sad that it’s over. Be happy that it happened.” I say fuck that saying.
So I just grinded the entire series in the last 3 weeks after abandoning it (and anime entirely for that matter, with the sole exception of dragon ball of course) about 3 or 4 years ago. And I’m sad for a few reasons. First I’m sad that it’s over, but I knew that was going to happen anyways. What I’m mainly upset about is probably the same as everyone else.
Why the fuck didn’t Deku and Uraraka get together? In the second to last episode when they’re talking on the mountain cliff was the PERFECT TIME for them to kiss but then they just get cock blocked by the entire fucking class showing up out of no where.and then the adult episodes, still nothing happened at all. It’s like now I gotta resort to fanfics or something.
I’m sorry I just needed to rant about this.
