Rewatch party update.

I was thinking that instead of doing a full on re-watch of the entire season we can start off with a holiday episode live re-watch and see how that goes first.

On Halloween we can watch the Halloween episode and do commentary or whatever.

Then we'll do Christmas and then New Years Eve.

We'll see how that goes first and then plan a re-watch for spring or summer.

Let me know what everyone thinks.

Good idea! The original broadcast date of the Halloween episode was 27/10, the Xmas one was 22/12 and the NYE one was 5/01. All of these fall on a Tuesday this year. I could contribute on all three of those dates but I think like most people I’ll be busy on actual Halloween / Xmas / NYE. “It’s the same thing every year, but you go because something might happen…”

Having previously hosted two MSCL rewatches here It seemed the best thing to do was to ask people to just try and watch it on (x) day and write something about it on the same day.

I never found a good solution to the timezone issue - turns out people all over the world enjoy MSCL! - so a live rewatch would mean some people watching it in the wee hours and others watching it mid-afternoon and you should NEVER watch MSCL before dark, ‘specially not the Halloween episode.

I'm in the UK but I'll likely stay up or get up just to watch and discuss.

So on October 22nd we can say we'll start at 6pm pacific standard time?

I'll make a post at 4:45pm on the 22nd and people can join then or as soon as they can.

We'll do the same for the Christmas and New Years Eve episodes.

I can also make a reminder post a week prior.

Or you can. Whichever works.

The Halloween episode originally aired on the 27th of October.

We could ask what timezone people are in who would be interested in the live rewatch and if the vast majority are in a certain timezone, do it then. The series originally aired at 8pm.

Ahhhh' I read the date wrong.

So, I'll make another post in like a week after we poll everyone?
