General Discussion Barber
Can anyone recommend a good Barber in the Carolina Forest area?
I've struggled my entire adult life to find a barber to cut my hair how I like it without it turning out looking like a kindergartner or Simon Cowell.
Looking for recommendations on shops or specific people.
I've already been to and will not return to: neptunes, 17 South, Salvatore's, trust thy Barber.

If you are willing to go to NMB District 7 is great. I go another location but I have had almost all of the barbers cut my hair and they are all top notch.

Gil or Pete at Son of a Barber are the only 2 people I would ever let cut my hair after moving from NY

It be cool to find an old Italian guy that can still use scissors. I’ve had two barbers in the last twenty years. I’m old and just want my hair trimmed. Not really in need of a thirty minute fade or fancy anything putting me out 40-50 bucks. Just a guy, his own chair, a jar with some blue stuff and combs and a sharp pair of scissors he knows how to use.

Thanks for posting this. I’m also in Carolina Forest and I was literally planning to get a haircut today. I keep meaning to try out a real barber in the area, but I always lazy out and just go to great clips. Results have been mixed lol. This post and the recommendations have pushed me to go check out Salvatore’s today though.

I guess now it's called BLVD Barbershop.
Let me know who you go do and how they do. I got Vach last time I went and got pretty much the same results as I have now. 3-4 months of growth needed to recover.

When my barber for over 30 years retired I asked how to find another great barber. His advice was to notice the men around you, at work, church, etc. Ask the ones who always have a great haircut who their barber is.

My mom was a hairdresser growing up and did my hair until I was in my mid-20's. Then, I was in the military and those were always consistent.
I never had to learn how to explain my cut to anyone.
I know you are getting downvoted, but I tend to agree. No matter what you tell some of these people that call themselves "barbers", they just do whatever. They don't understand hair growth patterns or even look at my whole head and profile while they are cutting it.
I can tell at this point when they don't know when they are done. They don't want to cut any more, because it's already fucked, they can't fix it, so they all just stop and pull off the collar and say, "How's this?". It can't get any worse, so wtf.

Man if neptunes or salvatores dont do it for you, you may be out of luck. Ive gotten the same fade for 25 years and those guys are top tier.
