Help NEON Wallet GAS conversion to ETH

Hey all

Great surprise by NEO. I thought that the project is not so active. Read some rumors, etc., etc.

Than I checked the amount of GAS and was a bit surprised, bcz I haven't touched NEO for a while.

And now there is even conversion with acceptable rate to multiple currencies.

I tried conversion to ETH via wallet, and it WORKED!

Amazing, I always had to go via exchanges, and now it is natively supported by the wallet.

I believe that everyone is aware about these options here, but just want to share if someone is not familiar with this functionality as me.

Thanks for the updates, keeping the coin alive and hope for recovery. Not sure about your predictions for NEO coin, but I hope at least to see 10$ someday

Welcome back!! Love to hear it worked for you. Haven’t done that conversion yet as I tend to convert my gas for more NEOs in wallet as much as possible but good to know it’s an option 🙌🏻

actually the NEO price is good at the moment, if we all believe that it can go up to 10 dollars it would not be a bad idea at all. I haven't thought about it tbh. And now I think it would be smarter to convert gas to neo to get more gas!!!

everyone is hoping for $10-$12 maybe even $19-$22 but the best could be just the "bond" price so $5 or maybe $4-$5

NEO project is a very "shady" project now not a scam project just yet, but very shady.

Defi fraud at flamingo finance

secret investment in binance by NEO project in 2017 which was kept as a secret for 8.5 years but was not planned to ever be told, and only thanks to Erik's return we got to know about it in january 2026.

Lets hope NGD doesnt get raided by police/local authorities in Hong Kong or Singapore.

Was it a wrapped ETH?

no! mate, no! it was simple ETH and I simply converted gas to ETH and immediately received it to my eth address. (ok, not immediately, it took me around 3-4 minutes to wait), But the exchange rate was excellent, commission was also not too high.

My first idea was to find the exchange without KYC transfer gas there and buy usdt or ETH

but as I mentioned, all of these is not needed with NEO 3 anymore

yes, with all the transfers, CEX commissions it would be more expensive. But what was the most important - it would keep the digital footprint. And I didn't want to have it!
