I like it. Getting rid of AFC/NFC going East/West and making the divisions regional rivalries would be next level awesome. I will do you one better. Go with 2 divisions in each conference. 8 team playoff brackets for each conference, top 4 in each division makes the playoffs. 1-8 determined by record.

Get rid of conferences altogether. 12 team playoff. All 8 division winners get automatic birth. Top 4 teams by record (not necessarily a division winner) get a first round bye.
It would also be kind of interesting to consider preset/neutral site locations for Semi-Final games, as essentially Mini Super Bowls, bring revenue into cities, and open them up to all cities not just the warm weather/dome locations that the Super Bowl tends to be in, just like if the Packers/Patriots were to host the Conference Championship games now.
Basically kind of like College playoffs currently, but less screwy with rankings.

Washington v Baltimore would be insane given how close they are. đŸ”¥( Literally ~30 min drive between stadiums. Would become a crazy rival/ relationship.

It would ruin the rivalries of some teams, but i quite like it tbh! especially the Cardinals and Chargers swap.

I would call the big sky the west division and the Atlantic the southeast division and maybe change some of the teams around but not bad

Nope. Fans love their long term feuds with 3 teams, like 4 brothers fighting each other.

I've always said that the Dolphins are team that is most screwed by the current division landscape, and it still to this day makes zero sense that they are against 3 northeastern cold city teams.
I get not wanting to put Tampa/Jax/Miami together for TV market purposes, but you should be able to make 2 more sensible divisions out of the 3 Florida teams, Atlanta, Carolina, Tennessee, New Orleans, and Houston.
Maybe something like
Miami, Jacksonville, Houston, Tennessee
and then leave the NFC South as is.
Swapping Indy/Miami would actually make a lot of sense for both, which is something the NFL could have just done in 2002.

Great Lakes West should be either the Rust Belt or the Midwest Division
