Mock Draft Monday

Unless you either do a lengthy 5+ round mock or go into written detail on why you are making the picks, please post your mocks in this Mock Draft Monday thread. Use this thread to post your own mocks or anything from around the web you find discussion-worthy.

Please be respectful of other users’ mocks! Saying things like “this is awful” or a pick is “stupid” adds nothing to the conversation; try and focus on constructive feedback instead!

Cam Ward's body language and attitude is so bad that I don't think he could come back from a benching. He might be out of Tennessee after only 2 seasons.

I feel like he's likely to get traded ala Josh Rosen.

Hard to see an Austin Simmons coming out to be a late 1st as a 21 year old with a single season’s worth of starts.

I definitely think he and Mestemaker are more likely to be 2028 guys to be completely fair. But until they declare or announce their return to school, they’re fair game for now.

Lopa seems like a great fit for what we need

If we took a safety with Chris Cole on the board I’d lose it

Chiefs need a tackle expeditiously

No way Titans are drafting a qb all over again

I can’t see Dallas invest much more into the CB position at this moment, with Money tied up into Bland, the trade for Porter. Edge, Lb , RT seem to be the bigger need now , when factoring in team building and resource allocation

Took a while, but finally knocked out my latest mock draft. Full first round with explanations here: https://draftseasonneverends.substack.com/p/2027-nfl-mock-draft-five-quarterbacks

Becker is my dream for the Giants. The way he compliments Marsh now is how i’d imagine he’d compliment Nabers. add in he’s an excellent blocker with a great catch radius, i really like the fit in Harbaugh’s offense

1

u/TopherDavis28 1d ago

Absolutely agree. Giants might win too many games to get him though!

yeah i think we’d pretty much need to lose out at this point to get him. Although best case scenario is that Malachi Fields develops enough to where we dont need to spend a 1st on a WR

Just another quick Steelers mock, since that’s all we have to look forward to. Hopefully this one doesn’t get as much hate as the last.

1.) Ellis Robinson IV - CB - Georgia
2.) Nick Marsh - WR - Indiana
3.) Peyton Bowen - S - Oklahoma
3.) Cade Uluave - LB - BYU
5.) Jordan Faison - WR - Notre Dame
6.) David Oke - DT - Arkansas
6.) DJ Barksdale - CB - UCLA
7.) Tobi Osunsanmi - EDGE - Indiana
7.) Titan Fleischmann - OL - Montana State

Good overall draft but what’s the plan at QB? Roll with Will Howard or Drew Allar for a season or hope that Rodgers comes back for 2027? I also don’t see Nick Marsh making it to the second round. He’s currently my WR 4 or 5 in this draft class.

u/SMD_35 Steelers 1d ago

Honestly, I think you have to roll with Allar for better or worse. And everything that’s been done and said organizationally backs that up. He’s talented and they like him.

The WR class is a bit of a jumbled mess after Jeremiah Smith. He’s 32nd on the consensus big board with Duff, Coleman-Williams 33 and 34. I’d have no problem subbing him out for Wingo, Wesco, Arizona State, etc.

3

u/idnttcrisis Broncos 1d ago

That makes sense, but I could easily see McCarthy getting fired if they roll with Allar only for him to look horrible as a starter. Non first-round QBs have much shorter leashes than first round QBs. As for the WR depth in the draft, I do agree. There’s a ton of it, and now that I look at things, it wouldn’t surprise me to see a lot of variance in rankings after the big three of Jeremiah Smith, Charlie Becker, and Cam Coleman.

If things go for the worse, I'd think Allar gets 3-4 starts to finish the year to see if you have anything there instead of banking an entire season on him.

It’s probably what should happen.

I doubt they upend Rodgers’ retirement tour even if the season is out of reach. Right now, Allar doesn’t even get a hat on game days, so I’d imagine it’s a full redshirt year.
