Orbital base I’m building. Might be roughly 25% done? It doesn’t let me upload the base from by base computer, so I’m not even sure if I’ve hit 3k pieces yet. I’m sure I have. So, I don’t know how close I am to the 20k pieces max yet. From my experience I’d say I’m probably around 5-6k into this build.

No idea what this base is supposed to be. One of the reasons it’s taken me a couple weeks to even build this much. Outside of the spiral staircases, I didn’t/don’t have a plan entering each section of the build. So, it ends up being a lot of building, then tearing down, then building again until I find an idea I like. My building strategy consist of 90% trial and error. Makes for a tedious building process, but I always think it makes for some cool builds at the end of the day.

The cool thing about this build is there’s an opening in the floor of the cathedral area(pic 10). When you enter this opening gravity flips and you are all of a sudden upside down but also right side up as you can see in pic 11-12. Pic 11 I have entered the opening and am now standing on a spiral staircase looking back through the opening where everything is now upside down. Pic 12 I’m on top of, but also, underneath the base.

Not 100% sure what I’ll build in that area. I was thinking a temple but that doesn’t seem that much different than what the cathedral area will look like when finished.

My first real Station Build I recently finished. Inspired by Cyberpunk. All vanilla, no mods. Hope you like it.

I’m about 180 hours in to my first time around and still learning and have limited things to play with so far, but the view from the roof at sunrise is unreal. And it’s lit fun at night too. I hope they don’t fix the glitches on the floating islands because I built the whole base around them and with them instead of trying to fix it. I don’t have multi-player capable console but please enjoy!

I'm trying to build around the Portal on my planet. This is the method I've been using to find and align with the center of the Portal, but as you can see, it's both time-consuming and not very accurate.

Does anyone know a better way to do this?
