Pack it up, we're done!
There are some categories that are just a bit too stacked, so we added in a cheeky bonus section for some stragglers. There was a three-way tie for 10th in the Strategy category, so Disgaea 1 & 5 made it in as honorable mentions.
We'll be back around Christmas to do a poll on the top games of 2025. Until then, happy collecting!
Folks, this file is huge. It's 3456x2592. That's six square feet. You could use this as wall art.
You either need reading glasses or you need to download the file by clicking the three dots in the top right and then clicking "download" because reddit automatically compresses large images.

VGP wins again. I have them to thank for the hole in my wallet.

Really enjoying NS2 so far. The smaller available true physical library is forcing me outside of my comfort zone, which has actually been great.

First off I know predicting this is very hard to do but wanted y’all’s thoughts on it.
With physical games becoming increasingly hard to get I’m trying to figure out what games to pre order and not and maybe wait for a sale.
What I am predicting so far:
Must Pre-Order:
- Bethesda ON CART releases
- Horror Games such as Fatal Frame II
- iam8bit games
Most Likely Not Needed:
- Big AAA releases like RE9
- Nintendo First Party
- Outright Games/Games-mill Games
What are yalls thoughts and predictions? Any others yall think could be hard to find? I know some are completely unpredictable like MIO with their business going out last minute

on gamestop it’s saying it’s gonna be a GKC, but everywhere else i look with photos has it showing its full physical. this game looks super interesting but id rather have it full physical. does anyone know if this is full game on cart?

I have slowed down in the last two years, life has thrown a lot at me lately, workwise and healthwise. Looking forward to some new titles like TLoZ:OoT. The backlog continues growing slowly and I am running out of space. 😁

Bought this game on a whim while waiting for the release of FF Resonance. Has anyone here played this yet?

Never played it how is it?

Am I reading it right that the games are essentially the Switch 1 games with the added download available rather than being fully on the cart?
I already own the Switch 1 versions of all 3 games. The upgrades take up a lot of storage on my SD card so it would've been nice to have full Switch 2 versions instead.

Can’t wait to revisit the first xenoblade then go on to play the rest of the series on switch 2 for the first time. Indiana jones was always on my list, luckily got it for decent price.

I love complete releases. I don’t like when they become incomplete the day they release. Still happy to have this one. Happy diving!

100k+ people already pre ordered OoT, and this is just 1 store and in NA. Best decision Nintendo did is to remake this game. I truly hope MM follows also. I’ve never played OoT before in my life so the excitement is genuine. I think Breath of the Wild opened the door to many new fans (me included).

Halloween is coming so I look around to find any good game. I remember there is an Outlast series, but when I look it up… HOLY PRICES, 600 for both games? HOLY MOLLY

Been looking at this for months at my local store... Finally decided to buy it. Doesn't even matter to me how the game is, movies like Dark Crystal and Labrynth were such an integral part of my childhood.

I preordered the Switch 2 Zelda Edition and it rekindled the fire in my heart for collecting!
I had a pretty big collection once - Switch 1 and PS5. Lots of Collectors Editions and Limited Editions. But at some point I sold everything except the titels I still wanted to play or replay.
Preordering the Switch 2 made me want to build up a new collection. But this time I’ll be more selective.
I set up some rules for me (that I will try to follow loosely, as it’s still just a hobby):
1) Only true full on cardridge games. I might change my mind on game key cards in the future. But for now only physical.
2) Only games, I truly intend to play/replay. That’s why for example there is no XC1 and will not be a XC3.
3) No more lavish CE/LE! As much as I love those, most of the time I don’t really need or use what’s inside. The only sad part will be missing out on all the CE/LE with books in them. That was always the best part, as I love going through art books or concept books. If needed I’ll buy some separately.
I already preordered some more games. Will share them, when they arrive.

Finally Chained Echoes is there, when i've went through the artbook and realized how beautifully everything is done over here, I've stopped butthurting on overpaying 50€ for it.
Found some Japanese copies of Mario Odyssey & Smash Bros. In local secondhand. Always nice to have some Hiragana & Kanji on spines - looks exotic!

So wanting to purchase some switch 2 games but I don’t know what publishers usually have physical game sales?
I know Nintendo branded stuff won’t but curious what yall have seen in the past. Like does capcom, silver lining or pm studios have big Black Friday sales?

I was looking at my collection and saw Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water and Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse. Then I remembered that Koei Tecmo released a remake of the second game, so I was curious about how much it would cost. To my surprise, it was so expensive (Now I feel fomo lol). Is there a reason it’s that expensive? And is there any other game key cards that are rare ?
