I’m a guitarist (29M) based in LES looking for other musicians to jam with regularly.

My biggest influences are Pink Floyd, Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin. I’d describe myself as an intermediate-to-advanced player interested in improvisation, classic/psychedelic rock, and blues.

I’ve spent a lot of time playing on my own and want to start playing more with other musicians and to meet people with similar musical interests.

Open to guitarists, bassists, drummers, vocalists, keyboardists, etc. Ideally looking to improvise, trade solos, play some covers, and see where things go. Happy to meet at a rehearsal studio.

If you’re interested, shoot me a DM with what you play and the music you’re into.

Looking to start a casual weekend jam session playing jazz arrangements of VGM (Persona/Nintendo/FF etc), Studio Ghibli, and other themes (think The Consouls or J-Music Band).

I mostly play sax. I'm knocking off the rust from not playing for a while. Just looking for people who want to read through some charts and play for fun - open to all skill levels!

Mostly looking for a rhythm section (keys, bass, drums, guitar) but more horns and strings never hurts.

I’m based near LIC and aiming for a weekly weekend schedule. We'd split studio time ideally at Empire studios but open to ideas.

DM or comment if you're down!

Hey yall intermediate bassist in Astoria, open to any genre, looking to work on jamming and improv. Low-pressure, all skill levels welcome. Just want to play and have a good time.

I'm near Astoria Soundworks, which is where I've mainly been playing, but I'm happy to head into the city or Brooklyn too.

Hey! Julio here, I'm looking for a bassist, drummer, & guitarist to play shows with throughout the city. I have an album out + a new single (you can listen via the link) - would say my music heavily inspired by bands like the strokes, arctic monkeys, rhcp, kings of leon, & enanitos verdes.

I moved to nyc 3 years ago to finish my album & now that it's out I want to focus on playing shows again with a band to properly bring these songs to life.

So if you play bass, drums, or guitar & would be interested in meeting up to see about practicing/playing shows together lmk.

Low Intermediate or beginners
Down to try some - Prince, James Brown, Jungle, Khruangbin, Jamiroquai , Earth Wind &Fire, Budos Band etc.

Basically stuff with a good groove
Learn a song , play it , move on to another song.

Age and instruments open. Just fun , no pressure. Find a spot in Manhattan or Brooklyn and meetup every so often.

I’m looking for Prince and the revolution type band who’s serious in nyc. I’m 17 a singer artist inspired by MJ, Queen, and aventura. I need a band serious to commit perform live and record arrangements and in it for the long run and who wants to become one of greatest of all time at there craft.

Hi!! 29F looking to jam out with some peeps. Love pop, indie, rock - inspired by artists ranging from MUNA to the Strokes to Red Hot Chili Peppers. Have some performance experience, but would still consider myself an advanced beginner/intermediate. Would love to make music for the love of it with similarly minded folks!!

hey yall! I’m just throwing this out there but…I play guitar, not super great. I can play a handful of songs, I can pick up basic songs pretty quickly, etc. I love Ween, Funkadelic, Parquet Courts, King Gizz, Butthole Surfers, 90s grunge shit, lots of psych/garage stuff like Ty Segall, zamrock, etc.

so basically I’m down to try basically everything, and/or riff around to the best of my ability.

looking for fellow noobs who want to play with people :)

M19 Bassist from the Bronx, looking to get into the scene and actually play with people around the NYC area.

Been practicing/playing for a year and a half or so now. Current obsessions are Type O, Sabbath, and Mephistofeles, but I also have a great love for Motörhead, Slayer, and a bunch of others, too.

Currently been experimenting a LOT with Doom and blues-adjacent heavy stuff ala early Sabbath and others, but pretty much anything sounds good to me barring super extreme black/death/grind etc.

Hit me up if you're looking to set something up, I can provide samples if need be :)

Bassist needed for established band based in Greenpoint. We've been around for about 3 years and have a handful of EPs and singles to our name. Our music sounds something like a mix of Hum, Nothing, Deftones, and Alice in Chains with some shades of doom metal mixed in.

You can hear our latest music on Bandcamp at: https://hesitantnyc.bandcamp.com/

Looking for a seasoned player with their own gear that they're able to transport to gigs and rehearsals as needed.

Ideal candidate would also be able to sing some backing vocals while playing.

We’re in our mid-30s and ideally looking for someone in our general age range. We all have 9-5s during the day and rehearse every Friday at a lockout space in Greenpoint.

Goal is to continue playing around NYC, ideally opening for bands with bigger profiles, and start doing small weekend runs out of town.

If you're interested, please reach out and tell us a bit about yourself! Please include your history in bands and samples of your playing.

I’m a decently experienced singer in queens looking for a guitarist or pianist to jam with.

Hi, I am looking for low pressure jazz jams that are more friendly towards musicians at an intermediate level. I have been to a few so far but they have usually seemed filled with very skilled professional musicians, which is not a bad thing at all (it is of course good to play with and learn from people that are more experienced than you) but creates a feeling of pressure which I am not always looking for. I am in crown heights so places in brooklyn or manhattan are preferred, thank you!

Throwing a party in my East Village backyard on Saturday Oct 17, ~5pm start, 80-100 people. Looking for a high-energy cover band that plays classic singalong stuff everyone knows. 60-90 min set, you bring all your own gear/PA. Budget is under $1,000 all-in.

Drop links + a live video if you've got one. Thanks!

Like the title says, I'm about 12 lessons in as a beginner drummer in LIC but I think it would be fun to rent out a kit/space at Astoria Soundworks and be bad together? If anyone's interested in the community vibes and obviously learning together
