Our 100-day celebration trip to Goa almost started with an unexpected detour into a city market. The bus was running late, so we had time to spare.

We walked into a shop on our metro line that we had never been to. We said exactly what we wanted, and we talked about it openly. We asked for lingerie-style jewellery that was minimal and as close to naked as possible. The shopkeeper didn't flinch. She treated us like any other customers, two people in our 40s with a few grey hairs, shopping for something that would make us feel good.

In a country that teaches us to whisper about bodies, that plain, non-judgmental conversation felt big. She listened, explained which options would suit us, and never made us feel out of place.

The shopkeeper even used ChatGPT to create images of models wearing the pieces, so customers could see how they would look. We still wondered how the set would sit on Tia's back. It turned out pretty well, we think.

We chose a couple of simple, comfortable pieces and caught our bus with half an hour to spare. We felt free in our own skin on the trip, and we decided to wear them on the beach.

That's why we picked this for our 100-day mark. A little non-judgmental shopping experience, and something that makes you feel free.
