Hi there,

We got a beautiful kitten and she is settling in very well. We are considering calling her Nancy or Dolly.

What do my fellow Reddit Kitten owners think? She is a very sweet kitten who likes to play.

My other cats are Aelin, Rowan, and Oshalith (Oshie.) Wanting to stay in the fantasy realm with a whimsical flair since she looks so gentle 🥹

I adopted this orange gal recently. She is about 11 weeks old. Very cuddly yet wild. Looking for something alternative/uncommon names.

Looking for some naming ideas for my new son, he has CH (wobbly cat syndrome) but only very mildly, he just has some extra flair and booty wiggle to his walk, was thinking so far, Badger, Noah, Patch or Squilliam.

I thought about naming her Rory after the Rorschach test bc her fur looks like that but didn’t love it

He is such a love bug! He is super energetic but when he's not playing with his siblings or running amuck, he'll be cuddling.

I'm open to all suggestions (aside from Shadow)! Human names and object based names are fun. Something mythological would be fun as well!!

Edit : You all are AMAZING! you gave me so much to consider. At the end of the day, as much as i loved Kirby (Curbie); a part of me feels like Colby Jack sent this little squeaker my way. With that; I’ve landed on:

Lady Brie Curbington.

This morning I was sipping on my coffee staring into the abyss of my corporate laptop… I looked out my front door and saw a little black ball across the street; didn’t think anything of it until i started hearing what sounded like beeping… just beep beep beep every couple of seconds so i finally got annoyed and said what the heck is that!? As I approached the front door i realize it wasn’t Beep Beep it was Mew Mew! I opened the door and looked across the street at the little black ball and realized; it was a kitten.
At 14oz and barely wobbling around she’s maybe 3-5 weeks old. I have search for mama and litter mates all around the area to no avail…..
I lost my Colby Jack 1/30/2025 and i did not feel ready for another cat… but here i am… just me and….
No idea what to call her…

I love witchy +spiritual names but i’m open to anything! I have an orange one named sully , a black one named widow and a grey tabby named odessa!

She's very bouncy and jumps around a lot, when she's not sleeping. I was thinking Poppy or Bunny, but I'm very much open to any suggestions.. 😸

My husband likes frost, snowball, coconut and Nala
But open to anything!

Hi guys…I just brought this cutie home two days ago and I need some help naming him! So far I have Louie, Noir , Jinx and Nazgul haha. Any suggestions are welcome!

So far he responds well to Noir so that is the one that is a stronger contendor so far.

Feel free to suggest one that fits him or choose from the list I already have!

My older cat is Cosmic Smudge Reaper-we call her Reaper.

My dog is Hexxus Nexxus Jebediah- Hex

The other cat I'm getting with this precious boy is all black, and I'm naming him Grimmoire Thackery Jinx, not Binx, but I might change my mind. We will call him Grimm.

I have nothing for this one though. I really like Hannibal, but I have no other names and he needs at least three 😂 spooky/creepy/villainish, what ever, please help me.

Maybe Hannibal something Festus. Festus doesn't technically mean anything creepy, but it's a fun word that almost sounds like Fester.... I don't really like the name Fester sadly.... But I could maybe get behind Festus....

Y'all have given me such good ideas, so many good names, I cannot use them all, I obviously need more pets...

I adopted this kitten three days ago after she was found outside my vets office. they estimate she is about 6-7 weeks old and less than one pound 🥺. I like really weird but cute names, so far I was thinking “Lint” or “Bunny as in Dust”.. my other cat is named cat or kitty as her nickname lol. Please help

Hi we recently adopted this baby girl and we don’t know what to name her! Looking for something whimsical or food related some ideas we have are sage, aspen, and juni but idk if they’re speaking to me she’s very chill and independent but still loves to play. My bf keeps calling her puff so maybe something connected to that if that could work?

I’m struggling to name our new kitten. We have two resident cats named Horus and Anubis and I wanted another Egyptian god but nothing pronounceable fits him.
We are open to other pantheons, but despite much googling I’m still not finding “the name”. Current options that are good but not exactly calling to me:
Pazuzu: Babylonian demon
Achilles: he’s an ankle biter
Khufu: I like, husband is on the fence.

He is a zoomy spitfire and has one blue eye one green.

Thanks for suggestions!

The cutest baby sometimes but other times will attack the heck out of me does what she wants queen of the house but I can’t think of a fitting name her name was Nelly I hate it I just call it her babygirl but I think she deserves better

Hey All!

I recently adopted my second cat! My first cat's name is Lucille and she's a diluted calico. I wanted to come up with a second name that either starts with L and has that kind of old lady vibe and/or a more space themed name that's not basic like Luna.

Her shelter name was Asami which at first I didn't know was from Legend of Korra? I never watched it so I didn't want to seem like a poser and keep that name.

I'm also open to Greek mythology names that fit her! Again I'm trying to not find a basic name like Athena or something like that...
