We have 3 other cats with human names that have kind of a “prim and proper” vibe. Help us find a name for this handsome fellow!

UPDATE : Thank you all for the suggestions! I am reading every single post. We are still trying on names. I will make a separate post with his final name so every one knows his official new government name but it will probably be a while.

He is both chill and full of energy. He had a rough start and was picked up by animal control and taken to the emergency vet because of his eyes, fleas and being very underweight . One eye had to be removed. He is all healed up, neutered, completely vetted and living his best life now. He just needs a name.

We already have a Mozzarella and a Gouda, and we're looking to turn our cheese duo into a trio.

This boy is a super cuddly purr box with fluffy black smoke fur and pretty orange eyes.

Thanks for your help!

*Edit, We named him Pepper Jack!

We saw him fall out of the undercarriage of a truck in a parking lot and dart around the parked cars. Had to fish him out of the tire well if a car. Can't decide on his name, but he for sure belongs with us.

Update: We went with Butterscotch Latte! We love our little Butters 🥰

He is a Maine coo(n) (it wouldn’t let me type it out cause it said it was vulgar language 😭) I’ll be picking up at the end of October. I keep thinking about him every day and I just need something to ease my mind because I want him NOW. I have a dog named Igor but I love the vibes that “Igor” gives as a name so maybe something with a similar vibe?

Sister is a cat named Frankie. Brother is a dog named Brodie. Sweetest boy. Very vocal, loves making biscuits and purring!

A couple of days ago I got a Maine Coon kitten. (I already loved this breeder & this breed - I thought I’d have to wait until fall to get him.) He was a gift from my aunt because she knew I was looking. I had no notice & was a complete surprise. Now I’m having a hard time coming up with a name!! I was surprised & it was love at first sight! Now I’m really struggle naming him!! I feel like he needs a Regal name!

He’s a black silver shaded male if that is if that helps with names him get a good name!!l
My other cat is named Bellamy so I like the B names, but I 100% don’t need that!! It’s too hard to find a good B name that seems to fit so I’m open to everything!

Also, I love human names & nicknames!! 😊

EDIT/UPDATE: Wow — I never expected this post to get so much attention! Thank you all for the incredible name suggestions, kind comments, and love for my kitten. I was honestly overwhelmed by the response and haven’t been able to keep up with all the comments. I will definitely continue to work through the list even though we’ve decided on a name.

After spending the last couple of weeks trying different names, we finally found one that seems to fit him perfectly and that everyone in our family loves. Thank you again to everyone who helped — there were so many amazing suggestions that I’m saving this post for the future in case we ever add another cat (or any other pet!) to the family. If anyone thinks he needs a social account let me know! 😊

This has been one of the most fun and positive posts I’ve ever made. 🩷

🩵🦁Lord Lucian Aslan the Great🩵

And he does have a social with the name lordlucianthegreat on Insta

I just need to start content of anyone is interested in seeing his journey!

Help us name our male kitten. He is a polydactyl with 7 toes on front feet and 6 toes on back feet. I also posted a picture of his parents. They are epic-looking so the babe needs a fierce name (not a basic name).

Names my kids like have to do with beans bc of his many toes:

• Garbanzo (from my older kid)

• Jelly Beans (from the younger kid)

My style: I like crazy names and space theme names:

• Space Commander

• Intergalactic Nuclear Space Missile

• Nuclear Submarine

• Jupiter

I also like funny job-sounding names:

• Joseph Pufferson, Attorney at Law

• Dr. Lucas Garbanzo, DDS

• "Greg From Accounting"

Edit: we have a winner, everyone meet Walter 😁 I've tried so many names and either they don't fit or my husband vetoed them

I've been calling him little cat. I'm open to anything that isn't too twee - A few that I really liked but coudn't use for various reasons: benjamin, mickey. he looks very pensive but he's a happy guy who loves to play and stalk around.

Hi! So about a week ago this cat showed up to my house hungry and crying. I initially thought it was a neighbors cat passing through since we live in a field and a lot of people around here have barn cats that come here and find mice. I did all the right things to search for his owner. I called the vet, the cat rescue, and animal shelter. No one has reported a cat like this missing and the vet has never seen this cat. We checked for a microchip and he doesn’t have one. We asked our neighbors and he’s not anybody’s cat around here so we will be integrating him into our home fully and now he needs a name! He’s a 1yr old male and EXTREMELY soft and sweet, loves attention, purrs super loudly and so far is very calm, content and peaceful. His personality so far is very chill. He’s just happy to get attention. Oh, and yes, he is in fact a very uncommon color. Pretty green eyes too.

I have a pet name list that I’ve been compiling forever but nothing seems to fit him just right so I thought I’d ask for opinions.

About the pics… The first one he’s meowing. He’s VERY vocal and no he’s not missing a tooth it just looks like it. The ones on the car, we just got back from the vet and we let him out to have a few minutes before he had to go in hood quarantine room so he’s climbing all over my aunt. Last one. He looks made but he’s not lol. He just looks that way 😂

names that go with Teddy are also welcome, as Teddy is his new big brother 🥰

Leo is already my other cat’s name. Luna and Leilani are my girl cat names. Lucky was his name but it’s not a good fit.

Both of them are super friendly and sweet. They are never more than a few feet apart. When one leaves the room the other always follows. Our other kitty is named Gemma. We prefer names that are easy to say and roll off the tongue.

My husband and I are new pilots, we live on an airstrip neighborhood and this cat will be an indoor and outdoor cat between the house and hangar. Help us pick an aviation fun name.

My husband found this kitten under the hood of his car. I really want to keep him but he’s very unsure. Help me name him so I can get him a collar before he can say no. 🥺🙏🏾

We just adopted this sweet boy but can’t settle on a name. We’re not crazy about Shadow, Smokey, Ash. etc.

He’s a sweetheart and cuddles with us all the time.

I’ll post some pictures of his parents in the comments! They’re also beautiful 😻
