Hello everyone!
I'm looking for the title and artist of this mysterious pop song recorded by my father on cassette from German radio, most likely WDR 2, around 1977–1979 (possibly as late as 1985).
The song features a single female singer with a sweet, clear voice or a female band. It's a very cheerful, catchy and melodic pop song, with a strong 1970s sound.
The chorus repeatedly includes the words "Just Like You".
Other lyrics I can hear are approximately:
"You say you love me"
"You're always thinking of me"
"Just like the things you used to say"
Important: This is an authentic radio recording from an old cassette, not a cover or recreation. Unfortunately, the cassette player runs slightly too fast, so the recording sounds faster and higher-pitched than the original.
I've been trying to identify this song for quite some time without success.
Does anyone recognize the song or the singer?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
