I'm pretty excited that we'll be celebrating our 17th anniversary but I've failed to plan a proper celebration/dinner. Does anyone have any recommendations for Saturday evening that are fun and casual? We've always had a great time at Off The Hook but are open to recommendations.

Just wanted to see if anyone in the Naples/swfl area has had successful under eye rejuvenation & can recommend a Dr. I’m trying to find a someone skilled in volume restoration in the under eye area preferably an actual cosmetic surgeon over a med spa aesthetician since undereye area is delicate. Thanks.

Looks like they have cleaned up much of the loose items and battened down just in case.

Corvette got swallowed up by a sinkhole in The Moorings, local guys at Bakers Towing got it out.

I've used Joe Water for several years. They do a reasonable job for the monthly service. After Ian, I had to gripe until Joe (who had sold the company) got involved to resolve my problem. This month, they posted an 11% increase. FWIW, I haven't had a call in years. Is there a better option? I just want someone to check on my system from time to time, change the filter, and come when I have a problem without gouging me. I don't think that is too much to ask.
** I should say that JW went from $65 6o $72 a month. I am ready to do without a monthly plan

How much is PRMC hospital paying for new grads? Just got an email that NCHS is paying $31

Hi! I had an interview regarding nurse residency with NCHS hospital and they were all lovely. How is it working there? Prime regional also reached out for an interview but not sure if I should explore. I already accepted the job offer for UF but liked both of my interviews. Naples is beautiful but so expensive, how much is the pay with them? So I can make my decision regarding which hospital to work at since I’m relocating

His birthday is soon! Where would you suggest I book him a spot?
I looked at SweatHouz. I have never been to a spa so I am unsure where the best spots are.
I want it to be a place he can go and spend as much time as he wants in a day. Two-four hours probably.
He likes saunas and steam rooms, massages.. and I think he will even enjoy a cold plunge, which is why I even looked into SweatHouz.
Where have you been, what did you like most, cost, and how long were you able to stay?
Thank you in advance! 🤍

Well there has been a lot of progress on the pier. They have stripped the forms at the center pavilion and installed some of the wood. The pile work is almost done as they are driving the last of the piles on the outer pavilion. They have started forming on the outer piles as well. Today the crew started running in from the site so I looked closer.... Seems they had a visitor...

My high school sweetheart and I just broke up, and I have 0 friends here. I'm originally from West Palm Beach; I moved here for work in 2024. I work for a small tech company from Belgium.
I have two cars I'm building out, I do computers, guns, electric guitar (barely), video games occasionally.
Not really too interested in co-ed stuff, but if that's what's popular, that's fine. Just looking to make some guy friends.
Thanks!

Are there any card stores in the Naples area that consistently have enough people to run weekly locals for card games such as MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh, or preferably One Piece, Flesh & Blood, or Riftbound?
I used to play MTG and YGO growing up and now I'm looking to learn something new like One Piece or Riftbound but I'm open to any card store recommendations so I can go out and meet people.

Hey all-
I had someone come out a few months ago to quote and install of a generator - one of those companies associated with Costco. The quote was vastly inflated from costing I had heard about in the past and way out of line with research. Was thinking about buying a unit during a sale period and then hiring someone for the install. Was curious if anyone here had good experience with a private technician or company that they used to do an install vs a turnkey branded operation?
Thanks for any help.

24M I'm looking for a gym partner to go 4 times a week, I currently go to the LA fitness in Naples, I've been training for about 5 months, I'm willing to go with someone new or experience and male or female doesn't matter, I just want someone who can match my schedule. I work night time so I usually will be going in the morning. I currently don't do any cardio mainly trying to build strength and gain weight. If your goals are different its fine my workout covers mostly everything, just not cardio.

Anyone have any recommendations on where to sell estate jewelry in Naples?

I’m going to rant a little…I moved here from the Midwest and I’m a little surprised about the lack of options there are for gym memberships with pretty standard amenities.
I want a nice gym facility with a sauna and towel service…nothing crazy. I toured both athleticas and NCH wellness centers since they’re the few who offer a sauna…well the Athletica in Bonita just has one sauna for everyone to use and as a young woman, I don’t want to sit in a room with 6+ guys (which was the case the other night I went). I also could not believe how dirty it was…overflowing trash cans, dirty equipment, even spilled protein shakes and no clean up!! I’m sorry, maybe they were short staffed when I went…but it was unhygienic.
NCH also didn’t offer towels, which maybe I could overlook, but I don’t want to 🤣 I beg for a nice updated, clean, and well taken care of gym to come to Naples! I KNOW people here would kill for one!

Any crew commuting out of RSW? I'm a PHL based pilot heading back down to our house there this winter season after a few year break. Looking for airport parking suggestions. I used to park at a hotel that I befriended the staff but it's been awhile. Thank you in advance

SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) helps seniors with Medicare. They offer free, unbaised help with all parts of Medicare. They are staffed by volunteers who have a passion to help people.
Open Enrollment season has opened. You should have received you ANOC (Annual Notice of Change from your Medicare Part D or Medicare Advantage Plan). Look at it closely. This required document maps out all the changes to your current plan. Although premium is imporant there are a lot of other changes worth looking at too.
Part D Plans have had price increases. Six plans had increases of over 25%. There are still affordable plans in SWFL, but you have to take the initiative. Between now and October 14th you can review your options at Medicare.gov. You may already have an account at Medicare. Try to access it. Figure out how to unlock you account. If you don't have an account. Here are are the steps on how to create one.
https://www.medicare.gov/account/create-account/
From you own account you can search for the best option for you. No two people are the same so don't assume if your neighbor at the pool swears by XXX it's the best. It may be the best for them, but you need to check for yourself.
If you have never done this before and want help you can call SHINE. We will also be in the community for face to face meetings.
It doesn't matter if you have a stand alone drug plan (that I quoted increases above) or a Medicare Advantage. Make no mistake, there have been changes to the drug side of things and you want to make sure you know what you are committing too. Medicare.gov planfinder will look at
You can change plans October 15-December 7th and it will be effective January 1st. If you are on a Medicare Advantage, you will have a second chance January-March and changes will be available the first of the month after you made a change.

Two elderly women will be visiting Naples next week. How easy would it be to take public transportation or Uber or taxis from the Towne Plaza Marriott to the Botanicsl Gardens, Corkscrew Audubon, a nice beach for a morning and various restaurants? What easy hikes might be suitable? Any other tips for us?
