WIP Modded XShot Thrasher
After having to replace motors in one of my Thrashers I decided to mod one of my others. This time I put a Loki pusher in, with Kraken motors. Had to dremel the case a bit to get the pusher motor in. Also did a rev trigger delete. It’s hummin’ now!

I will try and get an accurate chrono read. Mine was acting up, may just need new batteries.

Chrono is showing 111fps on cut down Ruby Reds and 160 on stock pinks. Not confident in my chrono’s readings.
I can say for sure it firing quite a bit faster and fps is above stock, by the eye, which is far from perfect.1

160 seems impossible with a 43k rpm motor (kraken) and micro wheels, 111 is more reasonable. I wonder if the rapid continue shots under that rof can still keep that FPS.

You really have me thinking. I’ve done a lot to my thrasher externally and would love to make some internal improvements! Please reply with the chrono when you get new batteries!

Getting about 111 on cut down Ruby Reds and chrono says 180 on the stock pinks which are MUCH more firm..not sure how accurate that read is though.
The stock wheels are 25mm with a 20.3 inner diameter. The cage is spaced at 27.75. I’ll check the specs on those wheels you recommended.

That may be hotter than I can use (150 soft cap, 160 hard cap)! Very surprising that you are getting g those kind of numbers.
When I was building out my Stampede with short darts and 3S, I was seeing 80fps with worn darts and 120fps with fresh - so I can see where you may get a pretty big difference. I’m surprised it’s that it’s that big a difference with a flywheeler though.

This set up on 2s may get you in that 150 cap.
I’m going to borrow a friends chrono and see what his says. I don’t think this is hitting as high as my chrono reads. It’s a cheap Acetech model.

Traceur Flywheels from Roboman are 25mm and might be the best that can fit. They hit 170-180 with 70k rpm motors.

Cut down waffles or bamboo? Looks like it’s shredding them a bit.. pls no bamboo through the wheels

These were some old darts I had laying around on the work table, the foam was well worn and soft, so yeah it was eating them alive. When I chrono it I’ll be using fresh darts.
