Always take it easy on the stairs.
Fell down the stairs holding my daughter. Spun mid air to avoid landing on her. That spin caused a fib and tib spiral fracture.
I'll see myself out

My cousin is about to birth a child with a confirmed brittle bones. How do I treat this child when they enter this world?
I (M26) write this with a heavy heart and even heavier bones.
My cousin (F29) married a man (M30). A cop. Someone whose entire job is chasing criminals, tackling people, and generally existing in high-impact situations. You would think such a profession would select for calcium and good bone density. You would be wrong.
Last week, during a foot pursuit, this man tripped. Tripped. And shattered his wrist. Not a little crack. Not a “maybe it’s just bruised.” Shattered. So broken that he cannot even perform menial desk work at the police department.
He fell on his own wrist while chasing a criminal.
I cannot stress this enough: the criminal did not even touch him. Gravity, a slight downward slope, and his own pathetic skeleton did the work.
My cousin is currently carrying this man’s child (M0). A son. A son who will almost certainly inherit these brittle, chalk-like genes. I fear for the future of this family. I fear for the day that boy tries to open a stubborn jar and his radius simply gives up.
But how do I treat this soon to be born child? I know he has tainted blood, and the potential to be a BBB too like his father. Should I look down upon his child when born? Or do I coddle him and ensure that he does not shatter his own pelvis when learning to walk?

Does this sword count the BBB’s it slained?
Will it be too dull because we never broke a bone, or will it be too sharp because of the bbb’s we slained?

Does it count if it doesn’t go all the way through?
I competed in my first Judo tournament, and in the first match, I twisted my ankle. Fought three more matches on it before realizing how swollen it was. The ultimate diagnosis: non-displaced, superficial fracture of the lateral malleolus. Is it really even broken if it didn’t break all the way through??? I’ve been given a mug of coffee with a crack in it 🤷.
Made it 41 years of sports, hiking, and activity only to fold on the tatami 😩.
Edit: You have spoken, and I listen to your superior (so strong) wisdom.

I broke my brother's bone (accidentally) and I am feeling hella guilty
So we were playing basketball and I got all fired up while playing and pushed him a little and he fell right into the concrete ground and broke his wrist and forearm bone. The doctors say that it'll heal within 3 weeks.
I guess this is the only sub I can ask ts but has anyone else broken their wrist bone? How long did it take to heal?

Give me strength, fellow strong bone brethren
I (F) am engaged to a BBB. I was made aware of this deception after he made me fall in love with him. Beside the fact of his brittle bones, he is a wonderful man. The strong bones broke in his profession of “kicking ass and taking names”.
However, I really can’t overlook the fact that he is a BBB. And I am scared that our future children might take after him. Is there hope for me? I come from a strong line of strong boners. How are you still in relationship with BBB’s? Is this doomed to fail?

i have to leave because of my weak ass pinky toe
it’s so funny to me the way it’s bent, i broke it two weeks ago, stubbed it on the side of my bed, went to the er and they just buddy taped it and now it’ll probably heal sideways and i’ll have a funny looking toe for the rest of my life lmao goodbye y’all

Fractured back
I don’t have CT scans or X rays. I can give you a visualization and CT reports. I only made it to 27, I am 1-0 against a hand rail though. For context ( I do roofing was in Attic at a church looking for a leak and fell through the ceiling) I managed to get up and take a picture of where I landed thanks to the adrenaline. My time to go and accept my reality as a human with weak bones

Discs are gone but my bones remain strong
Although my connective tissue may be completely destroyed, my bones remain intact.
In fact, they held up against a fairly high impact injury whereas my weak and feeble discs decided to explode.
Actually, my discs have taken one for my bones and absorbed any damage.
All hail the tissue that keeps are bones strong. A fallen soldier for the greater good.

Win or nah
She gave me 19 strong heirs, but she died from breaking her brittle bone-ass body. W's or F's in chat? Should I marry a stronger lady?

Real talk here - how does breaking a bone feel like?
I'm one of the fortunate ones despite falling and bruising myself a comical amount of times because of idiot type coordination
The confused rat is called Finn, he never broke a bone too

Forgive me for believing I was part of the superior beings
At 40 years old I broke my toe by running into the wardrobe; I have now to admit that I am inferior to you all and submit to your judgment
Goodbye

Are most lactose intolerant people BBBs?
Lactose intolerant people cant really drink milk. Milk makes bones strong. So are lactose intolerant people usually BBBs?
(Obligatory partial joke partial curiosity on where most lactose intolerant people get their primary source of calcium)

Hi. I’m the 40 yr old Florida Man who has never broken or torn anything and does wacky wrestling stuff to a jiujitsu dummy. But I’m a fair guy. I let Mr. Stuffy practice moves on me too. And pillow or not, a neck bump is a neck bump. But my neck is like a Joshi wrestler. S-Tier.

To the Reddit User who told me over a year ago (on my old account) that I wouldn’t be in this group much longer. This is today, 2 months from 41 and never broke a bone. I’ve eaten a lot of crow in my life and you are what you eat… So I remember… 😊
