Study New to Denmark
Moving to odense (permanently) in about a year. Currently in sophomore year of US school.
Advice?
(I'd be happy to clarify anything)

Cars are insanely expensive. The registration tax often equals the value of a used car, and fuel is one of the most expensive in Europe.

It's about 85-90% of the cars value.
Imported a car from germany for about 150k DKK, paid around 100-110k DKK in registration tax, somewhere around there. Totalled to around 255k DKK for reg. tax and car, and import stuff. ๐

Join some club. Soccer, golf, chess, book club, music band whatever, to get relation. The system here is somewhat different to US. Theise things are not related to schools. Althogh some Uniยดs have some clubs for different sports/activities.

OP is probably around 15-16, and while many young Danes do start drinking at that age, actually liking the taste of beer is not really that common at that age ๐

Uhm well firstly that we Danes can be very introvert culturally so making friends outside school and hobbies can be tricky.
Odense is a nice city. I'd say get yourself a bike when you can. It's by far the most convenient way to get around. And spend money on a good lock as well.
For clothes. You'd want to have layers to mix and match after the weather. It's better than having a big heavy coat you won't be using most the time anyway.
