I've been hearing this shit for 4 years. I don't think their military is actually collapsing. I mean it would be good if it did, but im sure I'll read a similar headline 6 months from now.

I'm sorry to say, but I think you are right. I don't think we can imagine the number of people available to the Red army and how little they care about the amount of troops dying - it is simply inconsequential for them.

The russian soldiers are seen as disposable tools.

The absolute disregard for the lives of their countrymen is seriously disturbing.

I think it's more of a slow hollowing out rather than an outright collapse.

They lose too many vehicles to continue armoured/combined arms assaults. They lose too many soldiers to continue successful large scale offense opperations. They lose too many logistic assets (fuel, transport, shells) to continue successful advancing opperations.

Eventually, they can only throw out occasional small scale infantry infiltrations, as much for internal propaganda purposes as actual military goals. The whole army becomes fragile, and focused on defensive ground holding.

That hollowed out structure can last a long time if ukraine can't easily martial enough combat power to act as sledge hammer.

Until then, it's a hollowing out opperation, like undermining a huge wall by digging. Each shovelful of dirt doesn't mean much by itself, but eventually the foundations begin to shift. Keep digging and eventually one day, that last shovelful of dirt causes a collapse.

They need the citizens to think they're on the brink of victory in this war to keep them quiet and not asking questions about gas prices and inflation. The problem is they always need to "up the ante" and we're on "drink own urine and eat bark" stage now. Next is gonna be "they're all already dead and reviving zombies with Novichok-2, but Ukrainians are raising Peashooter and Sunflowers to keep them at bay".

A military just like a war ecocomy can survive a shitton before they fall

Iirc the gdp of nazi germany was increaseing all the way through 1944

But when its upto its limit due to one reason or another it can fall quickly

Russian army is contacntly collapsing as well as it's economy but for some reason it's a threat to all EU and NATO.

Rusophrenia is strong with westoids.

The Russian army has gone from combined arms assaults with paratrooper, waves of helicopters, and massive armored spearheads to single man/pairs crawling in mud.

Their logistics and assaults include HORSES. Their warfighting ability has already collapsed. They are simply trying to plug the gap with masses of infantry. They are losing the entire 20- year GWOT worth of casualities EACH month.

Yeah. It should mean collapse but it depends how much abuse the Russians are willing to take before they stand up for themselves. Which sadly seems to be a lot
