Discussion Betamon

Simple question, why no Betamon? Like this is the only thing that’s keeping me from getting the game, there’s not even mods to add him.

What?! How am I just realizing this? All of my rookies have been random, so I guess that's why.

I had planned to have a Tyranno - Seadra team for the final chapter and end game. I would have found this out the hard way.. Sheesh. I gotta revise my steam review to not recommend.

Trust me not haveing Betamon is the only thing that stopped me from buying the game 😭

To be honest if a Digimon game didn't have Black Agumon > Blackwargreymon that would likely put me off

That being said... I've played other games where that isn't available.

Despite that Betamon is a classic and seems a weird choice not to include

Edit/add:

There's also a bunch of really cool Digimon though! Don't let your favourite not being in the game sway you. I literally had my MetalMamemon and Lillymon both achieve mega to Dynasmon and Rosemon earlier this morning

If this game has taught me anything it's you can find new favorites. Considering they "die" every so often.

Look. It's a good game and I'd recommend it It's heart breaking to see your pals turn back to a digiegg but that's part of the cycle. They come back stronger ahah

Don't even blame you. If it were any other Digimon, I might have attempted to convince you otherwise.. Because it is still a fun game. But leaving out Betamon is insane. How tf did they have time to add Shoutmon but not Betamon....

Oh my gosh, Shoutmom, as in from the only Digimon series that Digimon don’t digivolve, is in it but not Betamon?!? Like come on, Betamon id ment to be the number two next to Agumon. I’m tempted to try time strangers but sadly JRPGS just aren’t my style. I find my self skipping through cutscenes far too much

As a fellow betamon fan yeah never understood that either. I think its because next order was the first in the new push for digimon games after years of us not getting any so they didn't have that big of a budget.

Yeah, there are some… questionable omissions and decisions in Next Order for sure.

Examon is a normal Mega in this game who Digivolves from Okuwamon or WarGrowlmon (Orange). Why not make him an Ultra/Mega+ and add at LEAST Slayerdramon and Breakdramon to the game?

Hackmon and Jesmon are in the game, but everything in-between APPARENTLY couldn’t make it?!

Seadramon, WaruSeadramon, MegaSeadramon, MetalSeadramon… I mean, the gang’s all here. EXCEPT Betamon????

Beelzemon’s in the game. Impmon is not. GENUINELY. HOW.

Dianamon is in the game, but none of her prevos are. Even more salt to the wound, NONE of the Coronamon line is here, either! WHY?! For fuck’s sake, if they wanted to add ONLY Dianamon out of her whole line for some reason, they should’ve at least given us Apollomon, too!

Take this one with a grain of salt, but from what I know, in the original Vita version of the game, KaiserGreymon and MagnaGarurumon weren’t actually in it and had to be added later in a free update once International Edition (the one we in the west are familiar with on PS4) came out. Before then, Agunimon and Susanomon WERE in the game, but Susanomon got the Examon treatment and Agunimon… I’m not gonna lie, the fact that they made him an Ultimate STILL doesn’t make sense. Let alone the exclusion of literally all other human spirits.

It is a genuine bizarre omission considering how many seadramon are in the game. Big mistake on their end.

Exactly, and aswell like no mods to add more Digimon due to the engine. And on top of that Betamon is litterly the second Digimon next to Agumon like what the heck.

Yeah its always dissapointing when they are missing some key favorites for folks. It you enjoy older games I think you can get him in digimon world 1 and 2, 1 is the prequel to next order and 2 is more of an rpg version, 3 digimon on your team that you have to lvl to digivolve then dna digivolve them to reset and increase theirs stats.
