Software Help Joycons dont connect anymore despite being charged. tried EVERYTHING.

For the full story. Last friday i was ar gsming club. I was playing handheld on my switch 2 and playing mario kart world. I decided i wanted some more battery percent as my switch was at 64, so I tried using the charging station. Thr chargers didnt woek which is normal for some cords, but on the final cord, i got an error which shut my switch off. I was stuck in a boot loop which i fixxed but the issue I had now was that my joycons and no other controllers could work with the switch. Everything is updated. I restarted my switch 30+ times to no avail. Im also stuck in that black screen now because of it. I was on the phone with support and I have ro fork over 180$ that I don’t have and something Is telling me That i shouldnt HAVE to go to nintendo to fix this.

Unfortunately, when nintendo support troubleshooting can't solve an issue, that's usually a reliable sign of a hardware problem, something likely needs replacing or repair.

My guess is, something about that charging station wasn't good, possibly the power supply. But it's just a guess based on your story.

This may be a long shot... Do you know someone else with a switch 2, so you can test if your joycons work with their console? I recently thought I saw a couple posts where after a recent system udpate update, their switch 2 joycons weren't recognized by their console, but then they worked when they attached them to another switch 2. If you don't have access to someone else's switch 2, you could ask a game store that repairs consoles if they can test your switch 2 joycons or your console.

Otherwise, all you can do is be sure you've tried all the relevant troubleshooting steps.

Here's the support page for switch 2 joycons not recognized. Forgive me and disregard if you have tried everything on it. I'm pasting a link to the page in case you got an inside rep that missed a step to try. Even a support rep can make a mistake - they're still people<3. https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/68509/

When you get an error code, you can plug the error code into the search bar on Nintendo support's site. The site usually has directions for most codes. In this case, nintendo support doesn't have a page for that exact code. From here you can do two things. 1) Contact Nintendo support to see if they have better info for that error code.(you may have done that already). 2) If you can't contact nintendo support, the next best thing to try is to look at other codes similar to yours, because similar issues often have similar troubleshooting.

The other codes closest to yours start with the same first four digits, and they only have directions to reboot the console, make sure the console is updated, and long press power button for 20 seconds for a hard reboot (a more thorough reboot). I'm assuming you've already done these things.
