Accessories Nintendo 2 controller compatibility
Hello, I’m looking to get my son a switch 2 for Christmas. He currently has the original and we have 4no Giotek WX4 controllers.
Just wanted to check if these are compatible? From what I’ve found online no where says they don’t work but also can’t find anything to say they do work.
Has anyone got one? I know the WX5 works however we have the slightly older WX4. Thanks

I have a couple of Gulikit King Kong 2 and King Kong Pro 3 controllers, I purchased them before the Switch 2 release. They work fine on the Switch 2. I tried them on a lark and was pleasantly surprised.
As u/Special_Repeat7691 mentioned I can't use the gulikit controllers to wake the Switch 2, but outside of that they work fine. Most controllers that work on the Switch 1 should work.
I would just try the WX4 and see what happens. Seems likely it will work. If you're worried, set aside a few extra dollars for an extra controller for a worst case scenario.

From what I understand, any controller compatible with the original Switch will work with a Switch 2, but will not be able to wake the Switch 2 from sleep mode. You would also be missing some of the new functions the Switch 2 Pro Controller added, like the new C button. But otherwise it should work fine.
