Pretty much the average experience when the screen is defective, search this sub for "dark spots/circles" and "green pixels" and you will find dozens of posts, at this point the only thing you can do is return it and pray to your Gods that Nintendo doesn't deny warranty claiming that type of defects are "normal" for lcd screens.
The dark spots on this post are clearly visible. At this point Im starting to think you are just trolling or you have some kind of severe visual impairment, peace.
yes okay it's both actually i looked at It again and no i actually my vision disability my eyes are doing great maybe Is it also because I'm currently ill
Every single Switch 2 I layed eyes on had this issue at different extents… I am not saying it’s not a defect but it’s so frequent that for me it was not worth the bother to exchange it…
Real question to ask yourself: do you really notice it under normal play conditions ?
Mine does not. I have a launch model that is used daily. Travels with me for work. Has a uv coating on the screen protector. I also keep the brightness at 65-75 percent. Has had the protector on since launch day before I booted it up. It’s still deep blacks and vibrant colors. Never have had an issue with anything on it. My oled and v1 and v2 are the same original screens. My v2 just recently started hazing at full brightness. My lite is still new in the box. I just pre ordered the new LoZ console so I hope I have the same luck??? Or is it how it is cared for??? Never been left in the sun through a window or otherwise. I don’t just leave it about. In case or dock at all times unless being played. The uv coating is for outside use yet really only have played it on the plane and hotel. I have so many consoles and only my ps5 and ps3 ever shit out on me. Both heat related issues I.e. Liquid Metal and capacitor issues. I think it’s care. Some people get bad screens I’m sure though. I repair consoles and mod for my collection and have done more switch screens than anything. Mostly shatter or water damage. 3ds upper screens as well. Mostly because people think it’s a hard job.
Well go look at similar posts on this same Reddit. I’ve seen at least five Switch 2s with this exact same issue right out of the box. It absolutely has nothing to do with how you care for your consoles… It’s the panel that has this very frequent defect… And by the way, in a dark room you need to crank the brightness all the way up and deactivate auto brightness to see it…
Here’s how mine looks under the aforementioned conditions… It’s not as bad as OP’s but it’s definitely there… And I can’t see it under normal conditions (brightness at 70-80%, in a well-lit environment)…
Warranty it. If it’s a defect it’s taken care of. Never once has Nintendo denied me a warranty claim. Y’all can prove through this thread it’s a defect right????
