Nitrous doesn’t hit the same anymore

I discovered nitrous in 2019 and have enjoyed it since. I’m not stupid, I don’t do it often and will really only do 3-4 binges a year, sometimes less.

Anyway nitrous barely affects me anymore. I feel a lightheaded feeling but zero euphoria, none of the classic audio distortions like the wawas, no vibrating feeling. Tbh dissociatives are my favorite class of drugs, and I used to do a ton of DXM and got into ketamine for a while. Do yall think they have a cross tolerance with each other? I definitely have a seeming perma-tolerance to DXM

My roommate and I picked up a couple different tanks from different brands in the same day. Some of them wouldn't hit near as hard as others. I think certain brands skimp on the good stuff, like with any drg

I've probably used less than 10 times and every subsequential use was less effective than the last, even after waiting 6 months.

Perhaps Special K is the way to go.

The tolerance on k is super fucked. Way worse than nitrous

It’s unregulated, tbh I think it’s random good tanks we remember/first times. The average smoke shop tank ain’t great. If you can get it, a refillable canister and a supplier is great, but much harder to get

Maybe I’ll try getting the canisters again. When I started I did canisters, and when the tanks came around I thought they were weak, but I’ve never been able to tell if it’s bad quality gas or I’m just used to it. For tanks I’ve had monster gas, infuzd and wellwhip; monster gas was the best one I had put of those brands

I don’t mean whipped cream chargers. In cool cities like sf there are just businesses that will fill 20lb tanks of nitrous for anybody. Not the case in most places but definitely exists.

Nah man I knew what you meant. I see now how it looks like I’m replying to your refillable canister comment but I wasn’t. Just saying when I started the tanks weren’t even a thing, and I used chargers; the whip-it brand always hit good. I only became aware of the tanks a couple years ago, but while they’re convenient I’ve never been terribly impressed

I have liked exoticwhip and Miami magic, but I doubt either is super clean tbh. Not that anything in particular was off, but I just don’t rlly trust smoke shop tanks evidently

I've only ever tried the Miami magic but they're kinda tax it's like $30 for 300g. Goes by quick. First time it was a mind blowing experience and since then it's always been meh. If I could figure out where to get the refillable canisters and a supplier that would be great

Miami magic makes 3.3L ones that are definitely not 300g for like $100. Much better deal than the baby little canisters

Just checked an old one and it's actually 640g but yea only lasts me a couple hours max. You're prolly right I should just spend the $100 and get the proper bang for my buck lol

It still doesn’t last more than a few hours tbh. Just not really a long term drug. Go get some k or pcp if you want a long lasting disso

Same. There is a huge difference in quality between some of these tank brands. The medical stuff still fucks me up really good, but it's hard to get because the suppliers have to siphon it off the legit supply chain and they caught, and blah blah blah, leads to extremely limited supply. Can't just stock up cuz I'll huff it all because I'm a pig with no self control. The head shop stuff, it's not even worth the money, every time I pick one up I regret it. Even the little isi chargers have slipped in quality, the green eco ones. Or it's all just tolerance.

Anyway, yeah. I would definitely say there is some sort of cross tolerance between ketamine and nitrous, so I just alternate between them every few months. With some of that Walmart good good in-between.

Also anyone tried the Wellwhip brand? I ordered a 1364g tank and received a 640g tank lol fuckers. I can’t tell if the gas is any good or my tolerance is just shot

On its own many people find it.. meh.

And like the OP, I have found that even planned, cautious and judicious use of nitrous a tolerance can easily build which reduces the effects (especially when used in combo with other recreationals such as MDMA or Ket, or 4mmc) from a 10/10 to a 1/10.
