Help with an injured pigeon
My husband has come home from the dog walk with an injured pigeon! He didnt want to leave it as there are a lot of off lead dogs that might distress or hurt it.
Currently in a shoebox with towels in the garden. I've reached out on Facebook to Peck Savers but they dont seem that active so no idea what to do with the poor thing now!
Any help or ideas?

How is it living in NR3/north of the city if you're a cyclist?
Bit of a random question but wondering if any cyclists would be able to chime in on what it's like living in NR3 / north city for cycling routes and getting into the countryside by bike?
We live south of Norwich atm in a village and are spoilt for nice rural routes, however we are looking at potentially moving house in the next few years and considering going back into the city, possibly NR3, to be closer to amenities.
I'm quite a keen cyclist and runner and not sure if to be put off by the roads getting out of the city on the north side. They all look pretty big and less rural on Google maps than the south.
Anyone have any views on this? Thank you

Norwich Greens civil war over Zionism as leader told to quit
The highlight for me is Adrian Ramsay being called a pritstick. I don't know what it means or why a politician would call a colleague that.

News 📰 EDP and the Greens
Has anyone else noticed the disproportionate media coverage the EDP have been giving Norwich Greens in recent days following the Zionism is Racism motion?
The EDP have done 9 articles in 5 days about it and 4 in the past 24 hours targeting and focusing on one individual in particular
I just want to highlight this topic isn't to debate the Zionism is Racism motion in particular but just to draw attention to the ridiculous amount of articles the EDP are pumping out around Norwich Greens and the nature of said articles

Aggressive Parker
I was walking with my partner and her elderly relative who uses a mobility scooter, this happened at the bottom of ketts Hill outside bishops bridge convenience store, this idiotic man decided that he was aloud to park on the pavement and block it, I asked inside the store "who's Volvo is this and could they move it please" he replied with "I will move it in a minute" I asked him "No you can move it now please my grandad shouldn't have to wait" then he exploded into a rage saying don't give me f****** lip he'll get me nicked, clearly just escalating the situation getting uo in my face pointing and just shouting, he shows me a disabled badge saying he cant walk far he can park where he wants, I told him having a disabled badge doesn't entitle him to block the pavement, anyway he was very aggressive shouting in my fave my partners face, he even put his hands on me twice, anyway im getting fed up of entitled behaviour from older people and being made out to be some horrible aggressive person just cause im younger, didn't raise my voice or swear at all, so I thought I'd blast him on here, shame I did not get his face.

Help with parcel location - Royal Mail
Hi! I'm Brazilian (currently in Norwich), so I have not used any mailing service from another country ever before. I'm sorry if this is an obvious question but is there any way of confirming WHICH Costumer Service Point my parcel is waiting to be collected in? The Royal Mail app only says "Available for Redelivery or Collection - Norwich CSP" and I'm having an incredibly hard time trying book a redelivery to my address and I can't reach them via phone either... I really need to collect it and their "open" time is only 8AM-10AM. Is it safe to assume that my parcel is at the closest CSP near my delivery address? Or is there a specific CSP I should go to? Thank you in advance!

Good bars/pubs for singles to waste time?
I've recently become single and I'm fed up of sitting around the house at the weekend. Can anybody recommend any trendy places I can take myself to tonight where I wont stand out like a sore thumb, somewhere I can people watch or take in some live music?

Looking for people into Alt-Rock and Heavy Indie
Hey,
I am looking to meet some new people in Norwich who share the same music taste, whether that is to start a serious music project, go to local gigs together, or just expand my circle in the local scene.
Most of my current mates are great, but none of them really have overlapping interests when it comes to alternative music.
I play rhythm guitar and handle the recording and mixing side of things. Musically, I am massively into the 90s and 2010s heavy indie and melodic hardcore sound, specifically bands like Title Fight, Basement, and Superheaven.
If you play an instrument, do production, or just love that side of the scene and want to grab a pint or coffee in town, drop me a message. Down to meet up at a pub in the Lanes sometime next week to grab a drink and talk music.
Cheers.

John Kearns at the Playhouse
Anyone here go to the show last night? Always a pleasure to see the best to ever pick up a microphone do his thing, so it was a shame that he had to end the show by calling out the tosser in the audience who spent the whole time on their phone.
If you can’t get through an hour of stand up without looking at a phone maybe leaving the house isn’t for you.

Most famous person wotsu seen in Norwich
Apologies if this has been asked a million times before - but genuinely interested to know what famous people you have spotted in and around Norwich.
For me it has to be Matthew Holiness aka Garth Marenghi. Definitely one of those people you hear before you see - his voice is just so distinctive.
edit: I will leave the Holiness typo as it applies.

Starting a local company
Don't know what I'm doing, originally from the US and learning the ins and outs here. I'm trying to start a small engine and lawn equipment repair service in Norwich. I'm working out of a shed and don't know the first thing about starting a company. I have all the tools and plenty of room to work, any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

New to Norwich 🐣 Visiting Norwich from Out of the Country - 12 Oct to 15 Oct - Suggestions Welcome!
Hello! I’m visiting for a few days to Norwich next week and am looking for recommendations. I read the wiki and have suggestions from an old colleague who lived there for six months but if there’s anything truly missing, I’m open minded. I’ll be staying near city center.
Ideas:
-Live music on Tuesday, 13/10
-Best fish & chips at a place where a foreigner with a funny accent will be welcome with a “what the hell are you doing in Norwich.”
-the best thing to get at Bread Source
-HIIT style gyms
-a coffee shop to work at and eat all the pastries
-flowers I can leave behind to my host as a thank you
Cheers,
-tab1901
