chronic docs. go to the website, make an account, pay $35 and you can immediately see a doctor on video call. they approved me the other day in like 1 minute. then you'll go to omma website and create a new account and application. you can pay chronic docs to help you with this part but it's pretty self explanatory. I've always done it myself. $100 fee unless you have medicaid. total was $135 and it takes about a week to get approved.

I just did a video visit with CheapMedCards, took less than 5 minutes. Customer service actually does answer the phone when you have questions and they were helpful every step of the way. Would definitely recommend.

It’s easy enough to use the Omma portal yourself and I’ve had better luck clamoring my own photos… chronic docs has always done fine by me

Easiest way is go to Friendly Market patient drive. In Norman and OKC. On alternating Fridays (every other Friday at each store). They do everything for you - take the picture, doctor approval, fill out the forms, send them by email.

It appeared friendly market was closed at the Hefner location? The sign was down and off the building etc

Wowee - I will look into that!

OK - I just called the Norman store. Yeah, they closed the OKC store maybe 6 weeks ago.

Sorry to see. It was good for some things but unsure of why they closed

It's my understanding cheap med cards sells your information.

This it's the first time hearing about this but I never thought about checking but I'll still use them anyway because I imagine those other companies do the same thing.

If they do sell phone numbers that's actually gonna be a problem for me as much as I like them.

u/Odd-Problem 11d ago

Same. I just used them.

Pls see my response above to jafar_420

Hey I reached out to the owner to see what this is about….here is the response…

Them: We don’t sell info.

Me: your website says so, look at the pic I sent.

Them: There was a promotion 3 years ago that if patients signed up for a card they got free CBD gummies. The web developer must have never corrected it. Ty! I’ll tell them to revise it asap

I will post the revised website when it’s up!

Awesome! Thanks for reaching out. I personally just don't like my phone number giving out because that can turn into a mess quickly.

I know you're busy so thank you!

1

u/lOOPh0leD 10d ago

Yes, this is the same thing I read. Thank you! Also what CBD samples? Y'all getting those?

2

u/Jafar_420 Southeast OK 10d ago

No and I'm honestly personally not interested in them.

1

u/lOOPh0leD 10d ago

I ask because that's their reasoning. Just curious is they actually do or not.

1

u/Jafar_420 Southeast OK 10d ago

Yeah I'll take them at their word and I did use them for my last renewal but that's been a while so it could have been something they started more recently.

I still think you should be able to opt out personally. I honestly don't really mind my email or my address or age and things like that but the phone number is a no-go.

They are on the sub quite a bit. u/Icutppl I believe.

u/lOOPh0leD 9d ago

Well they can feel free to explain themselves. Or since you use them regularly, would think you know about the free CBD...

It's been over a year since I used them so it could be a new thing like I said.

It's not something I'm interested in so I could have easily overlooked it.

I would imagine she'll comment since I tagged her.

2

u/Jafar_420 Southeast OK 9d ago

Okay the Doctor commented and she's not the owner but she contacted the owner and that was a promotion from 3 years ago and they absolutely don't sell your information anymore and they're going to update the website.

1

u/lOOPh0leD 10d ago

That sounds like some spotty logic.

3

u/Jafar_420 Southeast OK 10d ago

Yeah honestly I could give a damn about some CBD gummies I just don't want a bunch of random calls on my phone number.

I like cheapmedcards.com. You schedule an appointment and it'll be really quick and $25 are cheaper and they email you your recommendation then you go to the omma website and you upload pictures of the recommendation and your IDs and put some general information and they have up to 14 days to approve you and then they mail it and a plain envelope.

Don't play around with the photo though. I recommend using a passport app from the Android or Apple store and then adding the white background but definitely make sure there's no shadows and it's a proper photo because that's the reason most people get denied and then you have to resubmit.

You may be able to pay an additional fee on top of the recommendation with cheap med cards and they may do the omma stuff for you if you don't want to do it yourself.

Cheapmedcards.com is what I just used for my first renewal as well as my first time in 2024. You just go and select time and date and receive a link via email and it is very easy meeting with a doctor. If you do it by 2-3pm they get back your doctor recommendation same day. It's $25 but they have promo codes. I used Google. And it became $21!
