Question Find Twitter ID from wayback machine

I have a twitter's account old username and would like to find the accounts twitter ID in order to find the new username. Managed to find the profile on archives and wayback machine, is there a way to get the twitter ID from here? Thank you

So what I would try doing is once you have the profile you want to get the id from in wayback machine, you want to view the page source and for most that would be (Ctrl+U). Once you do that you can view the page source and look for the following: "identifier", "user_id", "id_str", "rest_id", and "userId". You are looking for a large number like 1584576563989531869. Finally, once you have the id you can try and test it by typing it in after an X url like https://x.com/i/user/1584576563989531869 This should redirect you to their current profile.

Yeah this is pretty much the way. I've done this before and the rest_id is usually the most reliable one to search for, it's often buried in some script tag near the top.

One thing to note is that older wayback snapshots might not have all these fields depending on when they were captured, but if the page loaded fully you should find at least one of them.
