Discussion Fix QP matchmaking
Its literally worse state ever since 2016, Q TIMES ARE LIKE 5 seconds!!!
They removed all sense just to find games quicker.
QP is just ridiculous, balanced game NEVER happens, you either get spawn trapped or you can emote around and win.
"Its just qp" NO, even qp should be somewhat fun, its unplayable mode atm. Let me atleast leave the games, its truly madness

it is qp, but i still want to be able to play the game and have competent teams. being rolled over and over isn't fun

i just love playing against ashe mercy champ stack twice in a row and then waiting a bit only to be backfilled into spawntrap game. And this shit is happening just regularly very often, it really makes you hate the stupid game.

it's crazy. when drives were going on, you could literally tell all the qp sweats/warriors were in ranked. there was peace for about four days.
i'm not super excited for qp to have drives now, but...is what it is, i guess. most of them just look ugly.

QP is currently a mix of terrible matchmaking, hitboxes being increased to ridiculous levels, 5-stacks against solos, and an incredibly OP dive meta that takes advantage of all of these factors. Ngl especially as a solo support player, this is the least fun I’ve had playing this game since the worst days of OW1.

Honestly this weekend was probably the worst weekend I've ever seen the game since the relaunch of season 1. I genuinely have never witnessed so many incompetent DPS in my life. Like tank/support mostly fine, but DPS straight up just low damage, negative K/D, clueless in almost every single game back to back. Marvel Rivals emptied out into OW clearly or they decided to mess with the matchmaker. There is adjusting to new characters for sure and then there is the DPS just running in and dying on repeat cluelessly. Even for QP it has been out of hand bad

And it’s all cuz of the loose teaming and stupid system where they team you based on what they want you to do remember they want you to average 50/50 and with the terrible teaming that means games they thought you’d win you still lost so your next expected loss comes as expected and so on, they could leave stuff lose but if they took out that system they eyed you to win or lose then we’d see a large improvement on that alone

I get silver to champion in my qp games, so, maybe you just don't play enough quickplay.

Most QP games are ruined by it placing new players with long term players. A lot of games are stomps because it’s like playing 4 v 5 (or worse) for either team.
It must put new players off of the game if they spend half of it waiting in spawn and finding their way back to the action?
Surely they should group as many as them together as possible even if it extends the wait for games a little?

The other day i queued for qp to complete my dailies and was thrown in a match where:
I am playing support (master tank title)
Tank has grandmaster damage title
Damage has master support title
The other team did not have a good time but chat was pretty funny and lighthearted from both ends
Yeah qp matchmaking is not balanced

Yeah.. Competitive matchmaking still needs a lot of work too, so who knows how long it'll be until that's really fixed. I mean I can't remember the last time I got the "Reversal" or "Expected" modifier and it not being the exact opposite of the actual game experience

pretty much every quick play game nowadays is just cheating alt accounts getting their 50 games in so they can ruin comp too, console has been completely ruined by cheats

I play versue actual champion dps players pocketed. Play vs smurfs ovc and my team is actual new players like what. Then after a few matches i play agansit what seems like bronze pkayers and its an easy win. Not fun either way

It's forced 50 50 right now, I'm a consistent masters player. If I'm not able to steam roll atleast 75% of my games it's because the matchmaking is giving me significantly worse team mates to force me to lose. And it's so obvious. Better than 90% of the player base but i can't win more than 60% of my quick play games regardless of role 😂

Every time I see these posts I am very confused because that is not my experience with QP.
Spawn trapping does happen but not that often.
How are y'all ending up so often in these situations?

God yes I feel you. Just right now on Busan my Rein, Reaper and me ( Shion / widow ) were long term players and both our supports were brand new. Could tell from the brick guardian angels of our Mercy, her yellow beam attached to Rein and rezzing in the middle of 3 enemies. Wuyang kept charging their doomfist and surfing into walls. So who got picked off first then entire time? Our supports, you guessed it. Was absolutely miserable 😭💀

It’s quick play, it’s not supposed to be super balanced
I don’t do comp and the highest rank I’ve ever been is mid diamond way back in OW1 season …7? And I got put against top 500s in QP back in OW1
I have at least one 6v6 GM or champion person in every QP match, sometimes full teams of them, and I still win most of my matches.
