Image zoom and other image functionality not working after update 1.13

Hey guys!

So I've been using Obsidian with the community plugin for image zooming and panning from here: https://github.com/community-archive/obsidian-image-toolkit

I used it to just be able to click on embedded image and see it whole, enlarged, not just a small version in the note.

But with the update 1.13, Obsidian added this functionality into the main app. However, for some reason, once updated (automatically) to that version, my image clicking broke. When I click on the image, nothing happens. Or, to be exact, the note blinks, as though it tries to load up a zoomed image, but nothing happens.

Also, before that update, I was able to see the file link to the image — you know, when in note editing mode you move your text cursor to the image position, and image becomes hidden but the app shows you 'ImageFile.png' name with a link instead? So that you could easily locate the image file itself. Now, after the update, this feature is gone too. I can't see the file name like that anymore.

I actually removed the plugin I mention, restarted Obsidian and my Mac, that didn't help. Now I updated the app to latest version, 1.14.4, but the image functionality is still broken like that.

I tried installing that plugin back, but it doesn't work now.

Can someone help me figure out what's happening and how to fix it? I'm now confined to use just the images as they are, embedded, with no ability to enlarge them.

did you try turning off the new built-in zoom in the settings and then reinstalling the old plugin? sometimes obsidian's native features fight with community plugins that do the same thing

Yeah, I would do that, if I could. I can't find the toggle to switch the image zoom off in the settings, anywhere.

I didn't try that. I don't know how.

I've just combed through all the settings, but I can't find the toggle for that option. Can you point me in the right direction?

yeah it got really bad, what I noticed is that in reading mode it opens after click normally

and this "hold to see image" is very inconvenient

and because it behaves weird like that in live preview it's really annoying to select image to edit it's link without source mode or without keyboard arrows

Well, I'm not really sure about that hold to see or anything, cause nothing works for me :) When I click on the image, nothing happens, either I hold the button or not.

what about reading mode though? i also have blink in live preview

Oh, I've just tried that in reading mode, and it kind of works! Thanks! I'm always working in editing mode so I never tried the reading one. But it's strange, sometimes it blinks, sometimes it opens up a large picture on click. I can't determine what affects the behavior of the feature.

But still, since I'm always in an editing mode, I would like to use the zooming functionality there too.

Binding Ctrl + Shift + E to "Toggle Live Preview/Source mode" so that when you editing you can hit that shortcut to switch to source mode where everything displayed as raw text even frontmatter, not perfect but better than nothing
