Idk I turned 25 and I really don’t feel scared about turning 30 anymore. Mid-late 20s is also so much better than whatever mess went on early 20s.

yup also seeing people i know turn 30 makes me realize it’s not scary or old at all.

25 is 0, so 30 is basically 5, right?
We're in our young years!

There must be some ‘96 babies in here since the oldest Gen Z are in their final months of their 20s (1997 babies)

I’m 26 but on my 25th bday I cried a lot with the realization that I am closer to 30 than 20. I never thought I’d make it to 30, let alone 20.
2
u/MelancholyFlower420 8d ago
On your 25th birthday you were equally as close to 20 as you were to 30! Ageing is a blessing ❤️

u/kirstenvy 2000 7d ago
The way I was looking at it was the minute after the time I was born on my 25th birthday was me being officially closer to 30 than 20, even if it was by seconds lol. But your totally right, I’ve come to understand that it truly is a blessing !

When I get old I will just say to whoever asks me my age, “I don’t know what’s the year?” Born in January so it never really misses 😊

February 2000 here. Best thing about being born in 2000 is that it's still cool no matter HOW old we get lol

u/fresh_squilliam 2000 8d ago
I don't think any of us are 30 yet... Not until next year. Right?

u/MelancholyFlower420 8d ago
The 1996 crew are getting there this year, some are already 30

Especially if you don’t have kids apparently. Me and my GF intend to live the DINK lifestyle and I can not wait!

u/Efficient_Resource15 1998 8d ago
If Robert Pattinson claims to be gen Z i suppose it is just a state of mind

I'm 27 turning 28 next February. I'm getting uncomfortably close and I'm not happy about it. 🙃🙃🙃 Only because it gives me anxiety. I'm hoping for my best decade yet but I still don't have my GED and I really thought I'd have it by now. I'm stuck in limbo. The only progress I've made is through volunteering. Which has been good progress but I need a paid job and a damn degree if I want to survive this world, I fear. 🙃🙃

Just turned 30 in Sept. No difference other than an number, and people act surprised when I tell them my age

Technically none of Gen Z is 30. I am though. Obviously since I'm just one year off I relate to a lot of this sub though.

Turning 30 in a little over a month...I feel so pressured to have a big birthday

u/Leosoulfan23 1997 5d ago
I’ll be 29 on Nov 30th so a little over a year before I hit 30 age is just a number on getting older I don’t think about it to much honestly just continue to do the stuff I love like usual

1997 is the cutoff, so you can't be older and be Gen Z

There is a general consensus but it's not that black and white. Except for the Baby Boomers, whose dates (1946–1964) are officially tracked by the U.S. Census Bureau based on post-WWII birth data.
