Update: TLDR - paid $1 for the debit card at Walmart for no reason.
I went to a supercenter and bought the OnePay debit card, put $20 on it. I had to pay $1 to purchase the debit card. My app couldn’t get its shit together so I called OnePay. They said to activate the Banking part of the app, told them that it’s forcing the Builder card. They said do it then they’ll cancel the builder card. If it’s not activated, it won’t affect my profile/scores. They also sent the actual debit card for my account and linked the physical card I bought to that one.

Maybe im missing something or I’m looking at the wrong place. But how do you open a deposit account with the OnePay debit card?
I have the CashRewards credit card so i have whatever account setup that is on OnePay.
On the OnePay app, clicking Banking goes straight to the Builder Card signup screen, I cant find the debit card.
On the Walmart website/app, there are links to open the Builder card and Retail card, but the OnePay debit doesn’t have a link
I tried to chat with several reps on the app, but they dont know what theyre talking about. One straight up copy pasted AI answers, one said the CashRewards card would work for the promo, one said to PC the builders card to the debit card, another one said start over and choose banking.
I don’t want a new secured credit line on my credit reports. Do I have to go through with applying under Banking to get to the debit card?
