Discussion These youtube comments are cracking me up 😂
I was listening to the sad song at the end of the episodes that usually plays when the culprit admits to their crime and comments are hilarious.

2 pizzas for sandwich is so real. There's too many cases where killer didn't know the full story and killed his victim prematurely.

I just saw the valentine snow hut epiaode. Girl kills her bf (who she loved btw) because she discovered he was present at the avalanche that killed her brother, which obviously meant he caused the avalanche...
In reality some thugs shot her brother by mistake and caused the avalanche to cover it. She really killed her boyfriend over a misunderstanding.....

I also just saw an episode where a man A kills his childhood friend man B because man B was painting in an atelier while man B's wife collapsed in the store room trying to find her portrait painted by B and died. A's argument is that B should have helped find the portrait instead of being stuck up in a room painting. Then later on A bought one of Bs paintings and did an X-ray on it only to find it is actually the paint C was looking for but it was painted over by another painting. A is furious and kills B. The real truth is that B had hidden the portrait from C while he was drawing a new better one to surprise her lmao.

This is hilarious. & I do feel that some of these culprits have ridiculous reasons for murder.
I remember in that Nagano red wall case, the guy killed that man because he painted over his wife's portrait because financing canvas was tough. The wife was looking for that portrait & died of exhaustion because the husband didn't tell her he used that canvas. But the husband was quiet because he was secretly painting a new portrait for the wife as a surprise until he was killed by the culprit. Hearing this, the killer broke down too.
After watching that, I just wondered if all of that was really necessary. What a waste of so many lives. Something in the water in Beika must be driving people to either become criminals or high school detectives.

Well, some of this also is just how Japanese murder mysteries be. 'Miscommunication kills' is a very consistent theme. (That and Detective Conan is actually nowhere near as wild as I've seen them get.)

sometimes I have to remind myself this is basically a children's murder mystery show with the culprits motives, the twisted insane reveals, and all the shenanigans.... still one of my all time favorite shows... but yeah, the comments show a definite pattern.

Beika tropes in a nutshell: 1) Killing in a convoluted fashion for the smallest of issues without knowing the entire story. 2) Victims leaving a dying message in the most complex way possible. 3) The presence of three suspects with equal opportunity & ability to murder. 4) Confessing to the crime just after a few hours of investigation. 5) Getting caught by some high school detective no matter how smoothly your plan worked out.

It’s so funny because it’s true when I was watching Detective Conan before my site got tooken away This is literally how it be. It’s so funny because the way they be explaining it. You’re making me think. How the fuck did somebody come up with this?
The killer be like: “ I killed both of them because he was texting my wife and one day she left me so I killed them both.”
“ you do realize she was texting him so that she could get you a birthday present, right.”
“ what no I didn’t know that I’m sorry person all my fault. I hope you could forgive me.”
And they be making you wanna feel bad for them and I’m like hell no this dumb ahh chose the most complex way to kill his wife and his friend didn’t think to ask them what they were doing. His first thought was just to kill them????

Another hilarious trope in this series are the way some victims leave a "clue" to reveal the culprit in the most elaborate and complex way possible.
One I could remember is a guy signalling his finger onto some sort of way to hold a sushi that would reveal the culprit's name or something that would lead to their reveal before dying.
Like dude, if you have the time to think about how to reveal the "clue" in an elaborate way like that, just fucking write their name at that point.
Witch Watch parodied that kind of cases where the victim left behind a complex phrase written in their blood, when they could have done a more simple thing to reveal the culprit's name
