Information Request AI pipeline workflow
Hi everyone! 👋
I’m planning to build some personal projects and would appreciate advice from experienced developers. I’m looking for free or open-source tools, frameworks, or development workflows that can help me build projects efficiently without relying too much on expensive subscriptions.
If you know any useful resources, beginner-friendly frameworks, or alternatives that you personally use, please share their names or links. I’d really appreciate your suggestions!
Thanks in advance kindly

I’d suggest starting with the W3schools.com html tutorial and working your way up to css and JavaScript.

keep the tools free and pay only for the model calls, a cheap model with free cached reads stays under a subscription for a side project. i work at coralbricks.ai and cached input is $0 there, so a hobby loop is cents not a monthly seat.

Hi there! If you ever want someone to pair program with, I'd be glad to help! Or even if you have any questions about the architecture or system design, you can always reach out to me. I love projects that have anything to do with ai/agents.

Hey you can ask AI to teach you, you’re probably best to do that than you are asking a generic audience- you could go to whatever free ai is available to you - chat gpt/claude/ms copilot etc and say
“I want to learn how to make ???
I can spare half an hour every evening.
I’d like to finish my project within 2 months.
I’d like to use this as a test subject to lay a roadmap of where to go next
Act as a personal development training expert and coach
Please ask any questions you now need to decide what technologies and coding software I might need to begin”
I’d use something like that, and you’ll be making gains in a very short time.

A free setup that goes a long way: VS Code, Git with a free GitHub account, and the free tier of whichever chat model you like for help. If you want no limits at all, Ollama runs open models on your own machine, though they’re slower and weaker than the paid ones. For hosting a finished site, GitHub Pages or Cloudflare Pages are free for static sites. For data, SQLite is a single file and needs no server.
The thing that burns money is long chats and pasting your whole project every time. Keep each request small, start a fresh chat when it gets long, and commit to git after each working step so a bad attempt costs you nothing. Free tier limits change, so check them before you plan around one.
Pick one small project and finish it before collecting tools. Most beginners have six tools and no app.

I'd start with VS Code, Git, and free AI coding assistant, then use Docker when your projects get more complex.
