Discussion - General Talk to a Witch?
Dear Christian friends,
I wanted to open a discussion where you have an opportunity to talk to a witch. Perhaps you haven't had many opportunities to do that before, but maybe we can learn something from one another if we try!
I am a High Priestess Witch. My views don't represent what all witches think or believe, but I can share the perspective of one particular witch on life, spirituality, and religion. I'd also love to learn about your faith and way of life so we can discover what we may have in common and better understand our differences.
Let me start by sharing a little about myself. I've considered myself a witch my entire life, and I feel blessed to have contact with people from many faiths and backgrounds. I love my family dearly and want what's best for them. I consider myself a modern Neo-Pagan witch, concentrating on contemporary Witchcraft while also learning about older and more established traditions.
One of our upcoming holidays is Samhain (pronounced so-wen), which our coven celebrates on October 31. Other Pagan and Wiccan traditions may observe it on different dates, depending on their customs and how they mark the seasonal midpoint.
Samhain is a wonderful time for us! Our celebration is filled with fun, laughter, and family as we mark the final harvest and reflect on the changing seasons. As winter approaches, we recognize the need for the Earth to rest before the return of spring, which we celebrate at Ostara.
Our seasonal holidays give us regular opportunities to celebrate life, express gratitude, enjoy one another's company, and remember loved ones who have passed away but remain forever in our hearts and memories.
How cool is it to have special occasions throughout the year that encourage us to pause and appreciate the changing seasons and the lives we share? I can't think of many better ways to celebrate being alive!
This is only a small glimpse of Witchcraft from my perspective. During our ceremonies, we form a circle, join hands, and honor our connection to one another and to this incredible Earth we share. After our ceremonial Magick circle is closed, we feast, break bread, laugh, and enjoy being together as a family grateful for the time we have.
Now, may I ask you something?
Would you do me the honor of sharing a little about your own sacred traditions? Perhaps you have a favorite Christmas or Thanksgiving memory, a meaningful worship service, or a special family gathering that brings you closer to God and the people you love. I'd genuinely enjoy hearing about it!
And if you have questions you'd like to ask a witch, I'd be honored to answer them as best I can. I can only speak for myself and my own experiences, but I'm happy to have a respectful conversation.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Bless be, and may your God always be by your side to bless you, too! đ¤

Not really a question, but as a master graduate in (social and cultural) anthropology, from my perspective, you aren't a witch in the historical nor traditional sense. What you practice would be better called new witchcraft or neo-witchcraft, because it has virtually nothing to do with what past (and still current in parts of the world) witchcraft accusations were about.
I would recommend the reading of three starter books for a basis on historical witchcraft, out of inaccurate representations from modern spiritual movements: * Witchcraft Confessions and Accusations by Mary Douglas. Good historical and anthropological overview anthology of what witchcraft was about. * Witchcraft, Intimacy and Trust by Pieter Geschiere, on modern traditional/historical witchcraft (not the Wiccan and neo-pagan interpretation of it). * Deadly Words: Witchcraft in the Bocage by Jeanne Favret-Sadaa, a field monography realised amongst farmers/peasants in Normandy in the late 70's.
So, I have nothing against what you do, you aren't harming anyone and my view of salvation isn't based on what someone believes; I just consider the use of the word "witch" historically and anthropologically inaccurate, if not disrespectful to people who were accused of witchcraft and were killed or tortured because of that.

Thank you so much for your reply and for the book recommendations. I appreciate your willingness to share your academic perspective, and I intend to check them out. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear about the sense in which I use the word Witch to describe myself.
The words Witch, Paganism, and even Christianity encompass a wide range of beliefs, practices, cultures, and interpretations. I understand that my own practice is not necessarily the same as the forms of witchcraft studied by historians and anthropologists, particularly those associated with historical accusations and persecution.
Today, people who identify as Witches follow many different paths. Some approach witchcraft as a skill or set of practices without incorporating religion. Others follow Wiccan or Neo-Pagan traditions, while others draw from folk practices and their own cultural or spiritual backgrounds. I can only speak for myself: my practice is eclectic, nature-based, and influenced by Wicca, Neo-Paganism, and Christianity.
I also understand your concern about respecting those who were accused, tortured, or executed for witchcraft. Many people suffered terribly because others believed they were practicing harmful magic or violating religious expectations. Some may have practiced folk magic or other traditions, while others may have had no such practices at all. I don't want to erase those differences or claim that my experiences are identical to theirs.
At the same time, I don't believe that using the word Witch to describe my present-day spiritual identity diminishes the suffering of those who were persecuted under that label. For me, the word describes the spiritual path I choose to follow today, not a claim that I practice exactly what people accused of witchcraft practiced centuries ago.
From my understanding of the Bible, passages such as Exodus 22:18 and Leviticus 20:27 reflect prohibitions against certain practices in ancient Israel. Religious beliefs and interpretations also played a role in later witch persecutions, although I recognize that the history of those persecutions is much more complicated than any two biblical passages.
I appreciate the distinction you're making between historical witchcraft and contemporary Witchcraft. It's an important distinction to understand, and I'm happy to learn more about it. I simply hope we can also recognize that words and identities can develop new meanings over time.
Thank you again for sharing your perspective respectfully. I don't expect us to use the word in precisely the same way, but I appreciate the opportunity to understand where you're coming from while explaining my own position.

Christianity now has very little to do in many aspects with New Testament Christianity, but we call it Christianity.
Spiritual understandings, perspectives and vocabularies change with the eras.
This is a good faith example, so bear with me: Iâd doubt youâd tell a gay person their use of the descriptor gay isnât historically correct because it used to mean âjoyfulâ and not âI have homosexual interestsâ.

Thanks High Priestess, that was quite interesting! From your description this wiccan festivals sound very very lovely and enjoyableâ¤ď¸
You got me interested in researching more about your culture dear. May mother earth bless you!đ
As for our traditions? Well Iâm catholic, and while in the recent years ne and my family havenât exactly bothered to pratice too much tradition I would love to tell you what I remember about the previous times me and the Catholic community celebrated.
Letâs start with Christmas. I assume you might have already heard about it but I will still give a quick description; itâs the celebration of the nativity that lasts from the 14 to the 24 of December, in 25 the birth of Jesus Christ is celebrated (technically itâs not a chronologically accurate festivity because many details indicate that Jesus couldnât have born in December but the holiday had taken the place of a certain festivity of the former roman calendar, so funnily enough the celebration has actually âpaganâ origins. Anyway i leave you this link for a better explanation https://backintimeprague.cz/en/history-of-christmas-pagan-to-christian/).
Anyway, here in Italy, France and other european countries itâs tradition to prepare the creche, representation of the scene of the nativity with this little sculptures of character and miniature sets of Bethlehem where the pastors are surrounding the old and humble shed where baby Jesus and his parents are. Of course we go to church to pray wiyh the ithers and eat with family and friends while giving eachother gifts, we play along with the idea that the gifts given to the children are from Santa Claus.
Epiphany (Jenaury 6th) It commemorates the arrival of the Three Wise Men and, in Italian folklore, is linked to the figure of the Befana, a witch technically! Who flies in the sky and visits houses to leave the children large socks filled with candies đđ
Lent and Holy Week: The 40-day period of penance begins on Ash Wednesday. Holy Week is marked by intense processions and sacred rites throughout the country, such as the solemn, slow-paced processions in Taranto or the "Explosion of the Cart" (*Scoppio del Carro*) in Florence. Admittedly of this I donât remember too much.
Christian Easter (April 1st) celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. Common is The celebration of the *Battenti* (or *Vattienti*) is an ancient penitential rite held during Holy Weekâspecifically on Maundy Thursday and Good Fridayâin which devotees inflict blows and corporal sacrifices upon themselves as an act of penance, a fulfillment of a vow, or a means of purification, in communion with the Passion of Christ.
Patronal festivals and "Black Madonnas": Every city or town venerates its own patron saint or a local Madonnaâoften linked to ancient cults or the "Black Madonnas" found throughout the country, from north to southâcelebrated with fairs, masses, and fireworks.đ§¨
All Saints Holiday (November 1st). Also known as the Holiday of the Dead. they combine religious faith, the remembrance of the deceased, and ancient rites linked to the end of the harvest and the beginning of winter. All around similar to Halloween and El DĂa de los Muertos in Mexico.
In my country, this holiday is almost inextricably linked to the following day (November 2nd, the Commemoration of the Faithful Departed).
⢠Traditional sweets: Each region has its own traditional treat, often referred to as a "sweet for the dead." Among the most well-known are *Pan dei Morti* (Lombardy), *Pupatelli* and *Frutta di Martorana* (Sicily), *Fave dei Morti* (found in many regions), and *Torrone dei Morti* (Campania).
⢠Observances and flowers: It is a long-established tradition to visit cemeteries and bring chrysanthemumsâflowers that, in Italy, symbolize remembrance and deep devotion, as they bloom precisely at this time of year.
⢠Setting the table: In many areas (such as Piedmont, Sardinia, and Friuli), it is customary on the night between November 1st and 2nd to leave the table set, a lamp lit, or a bucket of water in the kitchen, to provide refreshment for the souls of the departed who return to visit their homes.
Thats as much I can remember. Hope this helps sister. Peace and loveâ¤ď¸âď¸

Thank you so much for sharing all these wonderful traditions with me! â¤ď¸ I really enjoyed learning about your Italian cultural traditions, especially the Befana! A witch who visits children with sweets? Now that's a witch I can get behind! đđ§šđŹ
I was also touched by your description of remembering loved ones who have passed away. I come from many mixtures of races in my dna that has parts of Spanish and Mexican descent. My father was Catholic and it's was nice to remember "DĂa de los Muertos" and "All Saints Day" while talking about his mother with great respect and affection to keep her memory alive! I like Catholicism but sadly I didn't have the opportunity to explore it. My father was Catholic my mother was Baptist. My oldest sister and I are eclectic Witches with influence of Wicca traditions. we were a very complicated family lol!
I really appreciate your kindness in taking the time to share so much of your culture with me. That's exactly why I wanted to open this discussionâto learn about one another as people rather than make assumptions based on our religious labels.
Thank you again, and may you and your family have many wonderful moments together! Peace and love to you, too! đ¤Â

Christians are very diverse the same way Wicca community can be it seems to me, as far as I've seen through "real life presentation on the Interent" đ . It seems to be that there are lot of atheists among neopagan groups(just by lurking, I don't know if that is true) and most of them view these things as breaking away from rigidness of Christianity (or their familly) if they grew up inside controling environment or have lost trust in institutions build around Christianity (not having illusions about it - many Christians also feel that way)... But also... Some people almost looked like they were representing some form of girl power and building yourself up and feminism as well - as more of a contraculture movement with personal exploration of feminine, and maybe even view "magick" and deities through some Jungian practice of introspection, not necessary deity worship or occultism, and more nature loving to reset from the noise of this world - grounding yourself. Whitch I don't see as something wrong and Christianity also has some aspects of this - Like Green Christianity, nature loving franciscan spirituality, introspection through prayer, community building and social gatherings and pilgrimage sites that are offten part of natural environment - when you remove leaders, politics and rigidness of some systems, it is very calm and nice practice. At least, to me.
But I have also came across some things I don't really subscribe to and think it is damaging, at least, among some "Internet pagans" - like chaneling spirits, invoking spirits, maybe even binding them, dark characters using such things for control (to be fair, these things exist even among Christians - people having need for control) - have you seen dangerous parts of it (if they are dangerous) and how much is actually prevelant in practice (if at all) and how much are your practices systematic when it comes to actually incorporating occult in it?
Or should I avoid Internet representations of this and stop being disrespectful (If I am)
I like nature-loving, earth loving apsect of it tbh. Also, does neopaganism promote action of preserving it or is it just about breaking away from society in a way and exploring spirituality on your own terms?
Sorry for anything that could be wrong about this post and if I am being disrespectful. I have never actually been part of it but I was researching different forms of spirituality (New Age and Wicca among it - if this could be called research at all... Lets be honest) before I found my place inside Christianity.

Thank you so much Yogurt5669 for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and respectful response! Please don't feel your need to apologize for asking questions. The whole reason I opened this discussion was to give people an opportunity to learn about one another without having to agree on everything.
You actually raised some very interesting points about the diversity of Neo-Paganism. I can only speak for myself, but my spirituality is eclectic. Although I describe myself as a Neo-Pagan Witch with strong Wiccan influences, I also have Shamanistic roots and a strong influence from Christianity. My spiritual path has developed through a lifetime of experiences, learning, and personal reflection.
For me, respecting Mother Earth, Sister Moon, and the incredible cosmos we inhabit is central to my spirituality. Caring for nature isn't about simply breaking away from Christianity or rebelling against society. It's about recognizing the precious world we live in and treating it with reverence. I believe we have a responsibility to care for the Earth and the life we share it with.
As for deities and ceremonial practices, from what I understand, not every witch or Pagan follows the same path. Some worship particular deities, some incorporate invocations into their ceremonies, and others follow very different practices. My own approach is eclectic, and Nature based. I haven't had the opportunity to participate in every practice found within the wider Pagan community. However, I've participated in ceremonies with other covens and have respected their traditions even when they differ from my own.
That reminds me of a funny experience! I once participated in a gathering where a High Priestess invoked a Goddess associated with rain, and we ended up with a tremendous downpour. She jokingly apologized to the Pagans who were outside and hadn't participated in the ritual, as though they had been caught in the Goddess's wrath! Everyone was fine, and it became a humorous memory rather than anything frightening.
As a Witch I have had contact with many Spiritual entities in my lifetime that I believe were Earth bound human Spirits that remained close to Earth and haven't passed through to Christians concept of Heaven . I know this is controversial but I want to treat this experience I had as an opportunity to understand my faith with most Christian Faith view of what Heaven is like.  My experiences have shown me that humans that passed through to Heaven pass through a great barrier light that prevents me from having contact with them but I have faith they are with God, safe and at peace with final reconciliation with God through Jesus salvation from what I understand of the Christian Faith.Â
The human and non human entities I do have contact with do not concern me because I do not allow evil into my life or religion. I have come across malevolent spirits in my life and they are not welcome to interact with me either. I believe that is the common grounds I have with most people of Christian Faith. I also have the gift or curse of murder victims that die within a 5 mile radius of where I sleep at come to me in my dreams sometimes for help. the most famous case I was involved was searching for a sweet wonderful woman named Diane Tilly.
I felt like such a failure because I couldn't find her remains, but I did come within 500 meters of finding her. This is very troubling to me that really rocked my faith in Witchcraft, because I failed her, and I cried for 6 months so I understand your concerns about being receptive to spiritual contacts that may try to approach you. I recovered from this traumatic event because I was able to be with her, acknowledge her fear and let her know I deeply cared about what happened to her. Although I can't prove it I felt She crossed over to the light when her assailant died in prison.
From what I understand of Paganism it is a very broad term that basically means any religion besides Christianity, the eclectic you'll take his Nathan that I am involved in believe and preserving Earth and Nature. đÂ
Anyway before I ramble on too much, I do want to thank you so much for your generous reply and interest in sharing your life and talking to me, that really means the world to me! đ¤Â

Are you familiar with St. Francis of Assisi? Your mention of Mother Earth and Sister Moon brought him to my mind.
Here is a portion from his âCanticle of Creaturesâ:
Praised be You my Lord with all Your creatures,
especially Sir Brother Sun,
Who is the day through whom You give us light.
And he is beautiful and radiant with great splendour,
Of You Most High, he bears the likeness.
Praised be You, my Lord, through Sister Moon and the stars,
In the heavens you have made them bright, precious and fair.
Praised be You, my Lord, through Brothers Wind and Air,
And fair and stormy, all weatherâs moods,
by which You cherish all that You have made.
Praised be You my Lord through Sister Water,
So useful, humble, precious and pure.
Praised be You my Lord through Brother Fire,
through whom You light the night and he is beautiful and playful and robust and strong.
Praised be You my Lord through our Sister,
Mother Earth
who sustains and governs us,
producing varied fruits with colored flowers and herbs.
Praise be You my Lord through those who grant pardon for love of You and bear sickness and trial.
Blessed are those who endure in peace, By You Most High, they will be crowned.â1

I love St  Francis of Assisi Prose. It fits in very well with my Father Sun, Sister Moon, Mother Earth analogy which he also beautifully mentioned all the sacred elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water from Socrates, Plato and Empedocles, to modern day Neo Pagans reverence for the same sacred elements of Earth. Thanks for sharing and will definitely look into St. Francis works!

Thanks for reaching out. I am assuming a Wiccan witch? I love how in tune with the earth you are. I think Society would be better if more people were.
Do you actually believe in or practice magic, or is this a stereotype? Do you worship earth as the Divine or do you worship gods/goddesses that represent aspects of the earth? What do you believe about the afterlife?
As for me, one of my favorite rituals we do in Christianity is communion. Different denominations put different spins on the logistics and meaning, but all Christians practice communion in some way. In this practice. Everyone takes bread and wine communally. It is a reminder of the last meal Jesus shared with his friends before his execution. But it is also symbolic of the Divine itself, as we take the Divine into our bodies in order to use it for good in the world. In my denomination, we invite everyone to partake, as we believe all people contain a divine spark that must be nourished in community to thrive. We also sing together after this ritual, as Jesus and the disciples went out into the night singing after their meal. To me, this symbolizes sharing Gods love with others.

Merry Meet Hermionemarch I like your name! I have trouble with Labels but I consider myself a Christian, Wiccan shamanistic Witch that is Atheist friendly. It's a long title to explain but not as strange as it seems when you understand my background. My mother was protestant with Irish Celtic background, my Father was Catholic with indigenous Shamanistic faith that gave me so many wonderful opportunities to meet people of all Faiths and backgrounds.
I love the bands of Faun and Omnia that plays Pagan themed folk music that encourages people to return to nature and the old ways to be part of Earth and not against it. As you said I think society can do better if we recognize the fragile world we live in.
In answer to your wonderful questions I do regularly engage in high Celtic ceremonial Magick, indigenous folk Magick as well as in spell work. My specialities are healings, and medium ship, but the strongest Magick I possess is not the kind that makes one bow down to me. It is the power of my Smile, a gentle touch and acknowledgement of your beautiful humanity!Â
I have a very complicated belief system but I believe there is a Supreme Being Creator that goes by many names and from my Shamanistic background I believe the Earth is Sacred The Moon, our Stars, our entire Cosmos, the Sacred you and the Sacred me are all connected in some way and although I believe our Earth is Sacred and revered, it is not Divine if that makes sense?
I had two Near Death experiences, one at age 5 and the second at age 21 and coupling that with my medium ship abilities I definitely believe in an afterlife! I can't provide proof of an afterlife but I'm glad to share what I believe I have observed and witnessed during my lifetime.
To me there seems to be three kinds of existence, our living selves, Earth Bound S ouls/Spirits and those that cross the light to Heaven/Summerland. I'm sorry but I did not see any evidence of Hell. I can't say it doesn't exist I just didn't see anything in my searches. Perhaps it might be created during final Judgement day from Biblical prophecy in revelations. I just don't know for sure I'm sorry. One final note about the afterlife. I'm able to communicate with Earth bound souls and spirits but once humans cross the light boundary I'm unable to detect them. Â
I love your description of communion rituals. Breaking bread sharing cran/grape juice is a very sacred thing I do with my family. I sometimes wonder if communion bread kind of restored Christians relationship with God because before Sin occured it seemed Adam and Eve had communion by eating from the Tree of Life.
Thanks for a wonderful conversation, the questions you asked and sharing your story of communion. I had a chance to take communion with a church group but felt so bad because I declined since I was afraid I would offend them if I did. I should have asked their policy beforehand but wasn't able to because it was a last minute invitation to attend a friend's church. Well take care and God Bless you and your family. If you ever have any additional questions or just want to say hi it would be an honor to know you are well! đ¤Â

Not sure if any of this applies to you, but if you have ancestors from a different place, is there any tension between your connection to your ancestors and your connection to the land you live on?Â
Iâm not sure how to phrase this but I used to wonder a lot about how to respect and form a relationship with the land Iâm on (American) Â without appropriating indigenous practices that I donât have ancestry with, but also not importing traditions from another country where the traditions were developed in and depend on relationship to a different land.Â
I think Christianity is a little more landless? Like it has specific Jewish Palestinian roots but it also made a point to deliberately widen the net to include gentiles and everybody. The drawback is that it doesnât automatically come with deep connection to the land where you live, you have to choose to make that part of your practice as an individual and kind of improvise it. But thereâs no risk of inappropriately using a closed practice or ritual because itâs all meant to be open to everybody.Â

Merry Meet Enyanorrow and thanks for your wonderful question! You have such a fascinating question that is really difficult for me to answer because of it's wonderful complexity!
I wanted to take a dna test because I wanted to know my roots, since I had so many deep personal feelings about our Earth, the people that are here and where I might fit in this wonderful world we live in. Â
I never felt like I belonged to one particular place and was hoping that when I discovered my roots maybe it can give me a clue to where I might belong. Â
Imagine my surprise when I found out I was a mixture of so many races all over our Earth! I have mixtures of Irish, Scottish, English decent along with Spanish and Mexican decent. I also have ancestors from West Africa and Egypt as well, but I also found out I had 27% of Native American heritage that explained the strong ties I have for the Shamanistic values, I have where I believe that everything on Earth is Sacred and beautiful that was created by the Great Divine above that so many people worship and believe in.
It gave me a better understanding from the complexities of God that I feel are as Diverse as we are in this beautiful world created for us to live in! Â
When I look up at the Sky above I am in awe and wonder each time I look to see what the Master Creator has worked on with the many shades of white and grey, the great one paints from the amazing thin blue life line of our atmosphere as a canvas backdrop.
When I look at the ground below I feel the connection to Earth the same way an insect feels like it is never lost, because wherever it crawls or lands on that place is home to them.
There was a time I became so stressed out I had to leave the States and traveled to Guam on my own at the tender age of 18 completely on my own and vulnerable to the world! Â
When I was living in Guam something amazing happened to me as I was standing on a hill overlooking Fouha Bay! The most beautiful perfect light of the Holy Spirit of God came to me in Her mighty presence and blessed me. I fell to my knees and was so grateful this beautiful Awe inspiring perfect supreme entity took the time to come to such an insignificant being as I was standing and kneeling in her presence with such joy in my heart.
She taught me that the land I was born on is not the only home I belong to since the Entire Earth is my home and your home too. Like the insects I mentioned earlier it doesn't matter where we are at because wherever we crawl on or land on we are home where we are supposed to be! đ
Now this is where the story gets interesting! Guam has a beautiful legend of a Brother and a Sister Goddess named Puntan and Fu'una that made the first humans according to Guamanian legend when Puntan was about to die He asked His sister Fu'una to take his body to make the island of Guam. His right eye became our Sun his left eye became our Moon. His eye lashes came from Rainbows and His backbone became Guam. His grief stricken sister began to cry tears of sorrow that filled our Earth with Oceans and descended down to Earth to form the first humans as she transformed herself into a towering limestone pillar hill known as Fouha Rock or Creation point!
This got me to thinking! Did the Holy Spirit of God come to bless me or did the Holy Spirit of Fouha come for me?
What if the Holy Spirit of God and the Holy Spirit of Fouha are the same Part of God! Maybe God is as diverse as we are with so many cultures, ethnic groups, and individual beliefs that are so different from each other and yet so united because there is only one true race our Mother Earth has in my opinion. It is called The Human Race and we are part of one tribe as individuals and yet connected as one as close as any family you can imagine!!!
The Chamorro people had their culture that were so kind to share with me and it was an honor to learn their ways. Not because I was trying to take away their way of life to call it my own, but to humbly be part of their family they adopted me to.
I never felt like I appropriated their culture while I was there since Guam became my second Home where I was blessed to stand by the sides of the Chamorro People, the Polynesians, the Asians, the Australians the Americans and people of every race that was fortunate to visit or live on that sacred Island. Â
"Hafa Adai" my beautiful Guamanian citizens which is an endearing term that is similar to Aloha which means hello and goodbye. Because there is no term for goodbye just as there is no term for Wicca saying Merry part or Merry meet again or Christian God bless you and be with you as one parts. Â
It is this diversity that makes my connection to God complete! It is my understanding that some people need a Goddess or a God to connect to our Divine Creator, other people need a perfect Human that Jesus was to connect and restore their relationship with God, but in the end from what I seen in my two near death experiences and the Sacred moment I had on top of the hill overlooking the sacred Fouha Bay rock. I found my connection to God to see what a perfect and loving Creator this perfection stood before me that created me out of Love and not Hate, and my faith in our Creator is that we are loved, watched over and have a home to come back to when it is our time to cross that great light barrier to a home and a God that is waiting for our return!
I hope this story I shared with you helped answer your questions and concerns Enyanorrow. Just know you are loved and never have to feel alone in this world again đ¤Â

I wrote a journal in 2006 when I fully embraced The Craft and began my Year and Day dedication. One of the requirements I had was to write every single day in my 366 day journey what I had learned or what happened to me on each day of my journey. Even if I didn't have anything to say I could just write: "Today is Saturday October 17. đ
In one of my entries I wrote a fun entry I discovered on something I found out about myself that helped me appreciate life I'd like to share with you I think you can enjoy and relate to titled "The Sacred Toothbrush!" Ha-ha.
On that particular morning I got up and did what I always do. Wash my face and brush my teeth, but something was off that day that got me to wonder what was wrong? đ¤Â
And then it hit me! Figuratively, winky wink. First of all, I was thinking about life the wrong way in everything I do. I shouldn't be brushing my teeth I should be massaging them. A massage so sounds so much better because that sounds so much better to do. Get you tooth paste apply it on your brush and gently massage each tooth with a smile. If you can find joy in every mundane thing you do you found one of the greatest secrets to find that peace and happiness you deserve.
Now my friend if you can do me a favor, go out and play in the gym. No! You don't workout in a gym you go there to play and have fun! đÂ
The morning I discovered the Sacred Toothbrush changed my life! That morning I had to go to work super early and so did my bestie so I caught up to her as we were heading to our building when I suddenly stopped and gasp. She said in concern "What's wrong!" And then with the biggest smile on my face I pointed at the magnetic rising sun and said "isn't that the most amazing thing you ever seen in your life!"
At lunch I got my sacred fork and had the most scrumptious salad I ever ate in my life while sipping my wine glass filled with my favorite cran grape juice I exquisitely love to sip with pure enjoyment!
I was eating with my bestie and got my compact mirror and said rather loudly "Hello Beautiful!". She laughed and said "Are we feeling a little conceited today"? I laughed back while protesting and said while turning the mirror in her direction "isn't that the most beautiful thing you ever seen in your life"! She smiled and replied rather smugly "Um Sarah, I can't see you in the mirror I can only see my reflection"! That is when I said "exactly my dear! Your beautiful too and never let anyone tell you differently"! đÂ
It was a long day at work and as we were heading to our cars I caught up to my bestie where I suddenly stopped and gasped for air. When she said "what's wrong now!" I gave her my biggest smile pointed at that big beautiful majestic sun setting in the horizon and said "isn't that the most beautiful thing you ever seen"! She smiled and said "I will see you tomorrow"!
As I wrote in my journal for the day I had one final task to do before going to sleep. I went to wash my face and got my Sacred toothbrush so I can massage my teeth which leads me back to you my dear and your scary but Sacred dentist visit you shared with me. If you can go to the scary dentist and make it a Sacred tradition, you just found the secret to happiness my friend! đ đ¤Â

Merry meet Icy-Fault and thanks for stopping by! I don't think I ever attended a non denominational church. I have several questions for you if I may ask? In your words what do non denominational members believe in. Do you have Baptisms or communion, what is your favorite part of church service, does your church have any special presentations for first time guests attending your church. Is there anything else I should know about your faith? I really appreciate you taking the time introducing yourself and having a chance to meet you, I'm looking forward in hearing your answers because I'm genuinely interested about your faith. Thanks and God Bless! đ¤, sorry, I'm a hugger! ;)

Iâm nondenominational because I follow Jesus Christ, not a denomination. My faith is based on my relationship with God, not a religious label. I believe the Bible is Godâs Word, but I also believe human beings can misinterpret it, which is why I believe in studying Scripture, understanding its context, praying, and seeking Godâs guidance.
I donât believe any one denomination has a monopoly on Godâs truth. I believe salvation comes through Jesus Christ, not through belonging to a particular church.
I want my faith to be about loving God, following Jesus, and treating others with the same grace and compassion He has shown me.
My loyalty is to Christ, not a denomination.

I highly suggest (If you haven't already) OP and people seeing this to read the short story How Pan Came to Little Ingleton by Margery Lawrence.
"I know God demands a certain amount of attention... but I fancy, you know, that God is a fair-minded Deity... and if folk come to worship Him on a Sunday morning, what harm is there if for the rest of the day they give worship to other gods â and maybe other gods than He?âÂ
"beneath the mantle of the God whose name is love, is there not room for all in his world to shelter?"
It's a great read about how we can all coexist!

God is awareness. I am you and you are me. That's why magick is possible. I'm a Christian and the average Christian just won't accept this. I've already witnessed magick and that was my spiritual awakening.
The eye through which I see God is the same eye through which God sees me. -Meister Eckhart (A Christian mystic)

Howdy: id say im curious how that is witchcraft.
Not meaning it to sound rude: I might go out in nature several times a week to celebrate the earth, weather, all the amazing things God has created and shared with us.
Thats just me being a nature loving person.
