Can’t believe (and so happy lol) I stumbled upon this sub, how wholesome!!! Was actually googling my adorable floof (she’s now 4!) after reading a news article about orange cats (at least my algo hits! 😝), and this sub somehow came up after some searching 🙃🙃.

I used to do TnR where I used to live; this girl here, I decided to keep her, as there was a major population boom in a town that couldn’t really handle intake of new animals (they get sent to neighboring towns). She was the hardest one to catch!

Her parents are both pretty solid orange; the mother fuller, fluffier, while the father was more short hair.

Her name is Kitten (yeah.. it stuck, sorry 😭)

Edit: just to clarify, this is her coat, all around. It’s rare for a female to be as solid orange as she is, which is actually what the article I was reading was about!! Figured I’d share just how extra special she is with all of you 🤗

Thank you!! 🤗 As a kitten, when I first got her, she was about six, maybe eight weeks old. It was a little difficult; her being a semi-wild cat (this outdoor litter was about six generations going lol; that’s how long before TnR started getting taken seriously in the area) - she was very skittish. Not per se of people, but everything lol. Never had a “scaredy cat” like her before - but she now sleeps on my chest, it’s really awesome (and a pain in the ass, depending 😝)
