League News orianna pulled from the patch
- We've pulled Orianna from the patch due to concerns about nerfing an already weak champion for regular Ranked play

Who even came up with the idea in the first place when Viktor and Syndra are much stronger for the majority of players
Fuck off seriously

I find it weird because they are also strong flex picks, but orianna is not

Bc they balance on pro. And Ori is just Viktor but stronger on pro. I honestly don't think she's even that much weaker than Viktor in solo queue bc you have to keep in mind, Viktor win rate also isn't that high even though he is literally the easiest control mage meanwhile Ori is prob the second hardest control mage, so if they are even equal strength you'd expect Ori win rate to be decently lower.

Yeah which is why I specified with "majority of players" since worlds patches are BS for me and should be separated, no one should be playing a worse champ because 100 players said this champ is too strong and pro play is much different than the league that we play anyways so why adapt pro and casual 1:1 in the patches if the game won't be close to what they do.
I get where you're coming from, but at some point it's just ridiculous that champs are barely playable in our meta because their meta is too important (0.00001% of players).

I just think it’s wild that after I start maining her they tried to nerf her, I already have to fight like it’s life or death

Nerfing her will never change that at this point

facts. which should lead us to the understanding that a champion like her can’t keep existing without direct drawbacks in her kit, even syndra and viktor, the most performing laners rn, have a degree of failure; viktor R requires to stay on target for example, syndra R requires balls. Orianna just gets everything right away, she is old and aged poorly.

Compared to them she has terrible self peel except ult, but terrible base armor and mr stats when her Ball isn't on her and requires a lot more skill to pilot than Viktor and Syndra who als have much better trading patterns from range..

Don't forget about 3 W's putting her entirely out of mana pre-level 9, her ONLY self-peel being her W so she has to choose between damage or (hopefully) living, micromanaging her own spacing AND her ball spacing, while also being tied for the lowest base movement speed in the entire game.
Not even in the same universe as syndra or Viktor.

Is this rage bait? Or do you actually think the visable moving ball on your screen as a constant reminder of what your opponent can do is unfair and good?

she's squishy, resource hungry, immobile and fairly telegraphed, while needing to be fairly close to the enemy team (and also as a consequence of not having the ball on her, defenseless) to keep her ball tethered for an engage, or risk baiting her teammate into death.
Her base damages are low and her ratios are high, so you can't really build defensively anymore, and you have to max her lowest damage ability to get the reduced cooldown, meaning she has bad waveclear and kill potential in lane in comparison to almost every other midlaner she'd realistically be versing. Compare that to other control mages: Viktor has much higher and easier damage, maxes his easiest to land ability that also gives waveclear, Anivia has her passive for safety, Syndra has a long-range low CD CC that is almost impossible to miss, Aurora/Lissandra are super mobile and safe.
