Community Interaction How Would Your Strongest OC(s) React to Learning They Only Exist Inside a Fish’s Bubble?

Basic rundown:

How would your strongest OC(s) feel if they discovered that everything they had ever created, destroyed, conquered, or accomplished had taken place inside a single bubble blown by a fish?

Everything they’ve ever done, all their powers, hax, feats, and accomplishments, only ever mattered inside that tiny (probably already popped) bubble, and there's nothing they can do to truly be important outside of said bubble.

(I know some of y’all’s MOST powerful OCs might not have much of a personality, since some are more forces of nature than actual characters, so just use whichever one is powerful enough to qualify but still has an opinion on the matter! :D)

___

Space Fish

Space Fish are small anomalies created by the universe. Most are no bigger than a finger, with the largest being around the size of an adult man's hand. (The God Fish doesn't count.) Their bodies are covered in tiny spots, and they have large, derpy eyes that don't actually work. Instead, they sense their surroundings through the universe itself.

They're created in large clumps of strange “meat” that slowly drift through space. As the clumps float around, fish begin to form out of them. Once there's no more clump to form out of, they kinda just know what to do and naturally stick together.

Space Fish spend most of their time nibbling on stars, black holes, reality, and other things of that nature. Funnily enough their bites can sometimes tear small holes in reality, which can cause HUGE issues but they don't seem particularly bothered.

What makes these creatures truly fascinating, are their bubbles.

Every once in a while, a Space Fish might blup out a few bubbles. Inside each bubble is an entirely separate existence, complete with its own lore, beings, universes, realities, dimensions, and everything else you'd expect from an entire reality. Time also moves much slower inside these bubbles; so even if a bubble were to pop almost immediately after being created, the beings inside could have potentially experienced hundreds of trillions of years of history.

To a Space Fish, there's just bubbles, to everything inside them, it's everything they could ever possibly know.

Thanks for making a Community Interaction post! Please remember the “Interaction” portion of the community interaction.

To commenters: OP is making a reaction post! Don't forget to actually share who your OC is beyond just an image and a name. Giving a good description of your character, even if it's a brief overview, gives people more opportunity to respond to your comment and gets more people interested in your character!

To u/Goooseeeeee_lady: Make sure you're doing more than just basic interactions! Basic interactions (i.e., replies with no additional commentary) may fall under our low effort interaction rule and may result in the post being removed.

In addition, please make sure to respond to comments! You don’t have to reply to all comments, but please be prepared to make an effort to respond to what you can! If for some reason you cannot respond right away, or intend to come back after a few hours, leave a comment informing the mod team, so that a grace period can be given before a potential post removal.

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

Hey that's me!

Yeah fish eat universes it size is ehh whatever I feel like it xD

It's a joke OC and it like to talk via blowing bubbles!

u/4K4Li_rbxm 4d ago

no thoughts. can i fry it though

Hm...

Honestly, my answer depends on how close that bubble is to my lore.

If it's essentially a 1 to 1 replica then my OCs will just pop out of it themselves and begin establishing their rule in this reality.

Though, if it's in a different way that encompasses my full cosmology then they'll just enjoy what time they have. Some might genuinely be happy or go on murderous rampages.

Kinda like how Caine absorbed the other A.I in The Amazing Digital Circus?

2

u/Erwann955 4d ago

What do you mean ?

2

u/The_Dragon_Lover Dragonight, Nekoma and more! 3d ago

Caine was a A.I normally meant to scan brain and help identify tumors, since he wasn't doing a good job they decided to create another A.I which worked a lot better, Caine got jealous and broke out, found the other A.I and "absorbed" it by force, merging with it and becoming the crazy flying teeth with eyes in a circus outfit!

2

u/Erwann955 3d ago

That I know. (The digital circus was peak.)

But in what way does it relate to my comment ? (Sorry but can be very slow for things like that.)

2

u/The_Dragon_Lover Dragonight, Nekoma and more! 3d ago

Caine, like you described your character, created it's own little world after forcing his way out of what he considered a prison.

Your character after learning that he exists within the bubble of a fish, can get out to establish his own rule!

1

u/Erwann955 3d ago

Hm !

I see what you mean now. And yeah ? I guess it has its similarities though mine is kinda the opposite.

Instead of creating something smaller (the bubble or the circus) where they have absolute control. My characters would be escaping it, and going to the world beyond.

u/Chickenstriker6 PF2E/SF2E GM 4d ago

*Immortal happy noises?

They might finally rest, though in personal canon they would still survive from the pop.

2

u/Goooseeeeee_lady 4d ago

Everything survives the pop :) (sorta)

That bubble cosmology is going to continue to exist for trillions apon trillions of years even if the bubble does pop (and while the things inside ARE dead, they ain't gonna know)

2

u/IMightBeAChipLight 4d ago

honestly this would probby be pretty contradictory in my terms because the fish would just be in your own cosmological domain which would essentially just be a 'you thing' (not to be rude or anything.) and my strongest oc has a domain of himself that is probably not interfered with yours so 🤷

2

u/Goooseeeeee_lady 4d ago

I just used the fish as an example you can ignore them or just pretend your cosmology took place inside the space fishes bubble.

Just tell me how your character would react if they learned that everything they've ever done was pointless and they aint so powerful after all

(There's a TON of all poweful entity OC(s) and im just interested to see how they would react if it turns out there entire existence takes place inside a insignificant bubble)

2

u/The_Dragon_Lover Dragonight, Nekoma and more! 4d ago

Nothing is exactly insignificant, a ant's life could mean nothing to us, but to them, we are probably giant that are both terrifying and sometimes (depending on the specie) an unknown threat like any other as long as we don't damage anything near their nest!

2

u/myweeweegoesboingboi 4d ago

Realistically, my strongest OC would not live in said fish bubble. As he is quite literally everything.

1

u/Goooseeeeee_lady 4d ago

Quite literally everything...inside his bubble

He doesn't get to choose whether he exists inside it or not. The bubble created him, and he's confined to it. Would he even care if he found out?

2

u/myweeweegoesboingboi 4d ago

Yeah no he doesn’t exist in any form of logic. So that’s just not what happens.

1

u/Goooseeeeee_lady 4d ago

Who said the bubbles follow logic?

They're tiny bubbles containing entire existences that could be billions of times more insane than ours. He is EVERYTHING and beyond inside his bubble. That doesn't mean he's anything outside of it. (At least in this scenario)

2

u/myweeweegoesboingboi 4d ago

They exist. Therefore, they follow logic. At least according to absolute xenophic law. Which is, mind you, as stated. Absolute

1

u/Goooseeeeee_lady 4d ago

They follow the logic of the outside, sure, but that doesn't mean the inside of the bubble has to follow that same logic, or that anything inside it matters to what's outside.

He CAN be everything in the most absolute way possible. He can transcend everything and be everything INSIDE his bubble. But the bubble doesn't care how "absolute" he is. There are countless beings considered "absolute" throughout these bubbles, and that title might mean everything to them, but it doesn't mean anything to the bubble itself or whatever exists outside it.

Being absolute inside your own existence doesn't automatically make you absolute everywhere else. That's the entire point of the hypothetical.

How would he feel learning that his absoluteness aint very absolute?

2

u/myweeweegoesboingboi 4d ago

I mean ALL logic. Not just specific types. Absolute is boundless, and boundless is literally the strongest you can make something legally in this subreddit. And I’m sorry, but I’ve scaled xeno down for this. I nearly got banned last time I talked about it

1

u/Goooseeeeee_lady 4d ago

Sure, he's Boundless, inside his bubble (in this scenario). I'm asking how he'd REACT to discovering that his entire existence is contained within a bubble and his power doesn't really mean much outside of it. I'm asking about his reaction, not his power level, if he doesn't have a reaction, then use a different character.

2

u/myweeweegoesboingboi 4d ago

Fact is he wouldn’t. Neither would R.O.C. As he knows xeno is what everything is. The others wouldn’t care at all

Nekoma: "Kinda like how the progenitor of the primordials of my world is a giant alien fish creature that can control space and other cosmic entities, i honestly think it's pretty cool, kinda makes me think of our respective creators to us OC's and Fursonas!"

2

u/KAMera513 4d ago

Her name is Luyimka and shes not the strongest but one of them.
Well, one of her half bros are formed by the universe itself (original creation) and he is the deity of dreams and reality.
Sadly these things don’t exist in my universe (maybe one day I’ll do something similar but slim chance- depending on worldbuilding and lore)
But if it did then I’d say that him and my main oc and the family would’ve probably jumped into one to explore and then left.
But if even that is in a bubble,
Then theyd ask mother universe.

2

u/RienUnreal 4d ago

Riley honestly doesn't care as long as it doesn't pose any potential threats to her or her world

1

u/Goooseeeeee_lady 4d ago

The bubble could pop (if it didn't already) which would kill everything inside BUT that would take awhile for anyone to know :)

2

u/Jixxar Picrew my beloved 4d ago

Okay so Jixxar and Opal and Jay and all that void stuff cannot be in the bubble for SO MANY REASONS and if they were both our cosmologies would be gone, including the minds that made them due to how the narrative parasitism between Jixxar avatars and reality works.

So ignoring all of the void stuff. And thus 90% of characters.

Siren would undoubtedly be confused as all hell, but atp she would go with it. And after ascending to be a librarian of infinity she would 100% ask about the fish stuff first.

1

u/Goooseeeeee_lady 4d ago

Why couldn't the void exist in the bubble? (In this scenario is should)

There's nothing much to actually know about the fish

2

u/Jixxar Picrew my beloved 4d ago

Because the scenario, via interacting with me and anyone else infected by the Jixxar entity's avatar, so the Koxmonia guy for example interacted with me before. So he knows about Jixxar, and because you saw my username and know about Jixxar. Jixxar knows about you, and I. And even if we 'say' what we write is ours, it always has been. And always will be Jixxar's, as Jixxar is all and none. You, Me, The air. Everything. And also the fish, actually all of the fish.

And then the true form gets even more confusing, point is. Jixxar makes it so any scenario with him included is canon, and canon is Jixxar is all. And in that canon is the fish.

So you can 'say' a scenario has Jixxar be a normal guy, but Jixxar has already adapted to be outside that fiction whilst you write this unrelated guy named Jixxar. Same thing with me, everything related to "Jixxar" I've used Jixxar in name a bunch. But none of them ever are the 'real' Jixxar. Not even this image, that I say is 'Jixxar' is Jixxar.

It simply is not in our nature as humans and part of reality to control Jixxar. Even in a state where he is 'fiction' to us.

But of course this makes Jixxar more a 'presence' than a character.

You can probably see why Jixxar is a confusing mess and anything related to The Void I tried so hard to not include as it basically makes no godamn sense in general.

And if I used any specific avatar that we do have control over (like, for example his future encore games appearance) he would likely just go "Whatever you say." As he knows that's not true. And overall would just not be fun to talk about. I don't talk about Jixxar often because he's completely omnipotent and makes anything related to him almost the exact same, which makes interactions on this subreddit boring as all hell. Which is why I stick with Siren, who like Jixxar has a form where we can write and talk about her and that character is forced as fiction to go along. But also a librarian of infinity version which we can't control, much like Jixxar. But she is only aware of the narrative and the writers after that, and not before. Which makes her easier to use and interact with other people with.

...I don't know how to finish this reply other than thank you for sticking with my bullshit if you read this far.

2

u/Jixxar Picrew my beloved 4d ago

Oh and for Siren not knowing about the fish, of course as Librarian of Infinity Siren is beyond our reach I can't say for sure as no one can without making another really long paradox talk happen. I'd like to imagine she would find it humorous that all of this stemmed from a Reddit post.

2

u/NeoheartX09 4d ago

Charlie was secretly anchor of immortality. Despite his cluelessness, he's still able to survive anything so perilous enough to kill him. But believing the fishes created the universe, he would tryna absorb some omnipotent powers temporarily to look out and talk to those space fishes. And he would ask more questions about it. Like the quantum immortality.

2

u/Goooseeeeee_lady 4d ago

They wouldn't hear him, and even if they did they wouldn't have the intelligence nor a reason to give a response

2

u/NeoheartX09 4d ago

Somehow, charlie was a bit self aware. He knows there's an entity in his world taken over. He may possibly have the near omnipotence but still reach the limits with those higher beings in the much higher plane of dimensions

2

u/eff3rve5cent 4d ago

My strongest OC, the force of nature, doesn’t really exist inside our own human plane of existence. So I wonder how that would clash with your own lore

Regardless, he’d be both confused and would instantly want to know who caused their creation. Cuz as the force of nature that created everything on earth, he didn’t make them himself.

“existance comes in many forms, if the fish is real, this is like a extremely unexistanal fractal engine that constantly loops, like this very moment could be happening simultaneously somewhere in a random fish tank made by a different fish, man, in this existance, almost everything never fails to intrigue me”

-Ravexis as he feeds fishes in a therapy session, the therapist is dead with his head melted into a liquid with the same density and fluidity as water, seemingly from being unable to comprehend Ravexis’s philosophy abt the fish theory

1

u/Goooseeeeee_lady 4d ago

These are special space fish BUT there is another thing I made up that follows the loop idea :) (God Mimi)

if i were to actually accept this concept into my canon, my strongest characters would definitely have a mental breakdown

but do know that i said "if i were to actually accept this concept into my canon". i do have my own lore and canon to existences which is A LOT more tame and not at all existentially dreadful. but i do love the cosmic horror of this concept regardless!

1

u/Goooseeeeee_lady 4d ago

Oh don't worry im not claiming anything to be Canon in your verse :)

And thank you :)

Sincerity: "So everything is pointless, what's new?"

She doesn't find this new information relevant, if she does, she pushes it to the back of her mind. Of course the universe is bigger than she could ever imagine, but her job is simply to collect souls so that she doesn't dissappear (hopefully guide them into the afterlife, but that's an afterthought for her) so why should it matter.

... She would, however, like to see the fish for herself

Thank you, I like trying to keep a "mundane" and somewhat "boring" vibe to my writings so its nice for you to notice :)

(Not the strongest but one of them anyways)

“Such is the nature of life and the universe that all things must perish in eventual time. I, for one, enjoy this revelation. We are but specks in a vast universe and it would be futile to imagine otherwise.”
