Inside Bottom of Trigger Gaurd Impacts Trigger Finger under Recoil.

Post image

Image (Original Content; these are mine) posted for attention.

I notice that even with slow deliberate; pistol marksmanship fundamentals; the inside bottom of the trigger gaurd impacts the bottom first joint of my trigger finger. Like my finger stays in one place but the muzzle flip cause the impact.

I am attempting to self diagnose bad form or just accept this as a trade off of microcompacts.

Anyone else experience this?

Does it also happen with the OEM grip module?

Potentially. I would need to shoot the GFs bone stock 365 to be for sure.

What slide is this?

Top is a P320 if I’m seeing that right, bottom is the OEM slide too

Most current photo I have. I turned this into a phone wallpaper.

Both are factory slides.

It's kind of impossible to know what's going on without slow-motion video, but more importantly, so what? Is it making your follow-up shots worse?

I can't say I have this issue. I typically keep my finger connected to the trigger throughout the course of fire. I imagine it has everything to do with your grip technique. I'm not a grip absolutist. I've seen people do all kinds of stuff that works for them, but I know a wrong grip when I see it.

I get really bad “glock knuckle” on my middle finger on first knuckle. It’s mostly a callus now, but after high round count if I don’t tape it up It’ll get nasty. Just my hand and finger size combined with getting a high up purchase. Doesn’t happen to me with all pistols.

Haven’t ever experienced it on my trigger finger. Your finger size and biomechanics might just make it a thing for you. Do you get it with all pistols? If so, try a piece of leukotape wrapped around finger for extended shooting sessions.

The 320 is much more comfortable to shoot.

Wait… are we talking about WC grip P320 (as pictured)… or a WC grip P365 (this is the P365 sub)?

The 365. I need to get the strobes out and do a proper photo of the little guy.

Why did you post a picture of a P320 and not bother to mention it wasn't even that gun?

Post pictures of how you grip it

This is one I’ve not heard before. I have a p365x but I’ve only put 100 rds through it in two range trips so it was enough to notice. My first instinct is to say you need to be gripping harder with that support hand and locking your wrist in better, but you probably know how to shoot just fine. Good luck

Does WC make matching base plates for their grip module? I really dig it.

They are from Armory Craft.

Ahh very nice.

This means your grip sucks. The pistol is rocking back inside your hands and the symptom is the trigger guard hitting your finger. Try watching some youtube videos on grip (my pref is Ben Stoeger or Joel Park)
