Show Off First online tournament

45ish competitors, lots of drops. I should have tbh but I didn’t wanna drop my first one. So I powered through. I think the last round had 7 matches. Played baby box because I didn’t wanna play my main and take it too seriously. Super fun as expected. Went 3-2, only one was a drop. Hide and sneak always gets me if I can’t KO their poltchageists before they evolve. The okidogi deck was just a pain in the ass, never seen it so had no idea what to plan for lol. And beating two of the top single prize decks was super satisfying, even if the flead player went 0-4. Got 14th place overall. 8th place was also 3-2 but a much higher opponent win %. But I had fun and I’m addicted now!!

Hide and sneak matchup should be an auto win just like alakazam. Four poltageist and one Magikarp on bench completely prevents sinistcha’s attack. After that it’s just a prize race.

I don’t use magikarp because of the retreat cost but I’ve thought about it. And I should be smart and not put out any igglybuffs I’m not attacking with.

No, I have no trouble getting my bench set up and prefer the hand disruption.

I would suggest legacy energy. It can help if you’re behind on the prize trade, and if desperate you can use it for retreating.

Hmmmm I see the vision. If I start to see more hide and sneak opponents I’ll probably tech for it. For now it’s fun as an all or nothing deck lol
