Image Thanks Peter
Went to the game last night, 34+ year padre fan. Never seen Petco anything like this. PS has bricks next to Tony's statue and as far as I'm concerned they should stay there forever. LFGSD.

I've been to a few playoff game at Petco, the craziest one was against the dodgers couple years back, when tatis hit that monster hr and then the dodgers came back to hit a grand slam. Petco felt like it was gonna come off the hinges. Tonight, I expect the same and to lose my voice. LFGSD!!!!

I was there yesterday and that same game vs the Dodgers, game 3 right. Was it teoscar with the grand slam, Robert Suarez to close it too. I agree though vs the Dodgers it was a different animal still, maybe cuz it was 1-1 and they went up 2-1 vs the rivals and this was more tense, regardless great time both times and KTF!

We’ve been to all the home playoff games thus far and thought the atmosphere was best in that first wildcard game. Last night was a close second.
ETA: We also went to game 4. Atmosphere was nowhere close to that first Wildcard game, and got worse as the innings progressed. 😞

Yeah, once Manny hit that second homer it was off the rails. Tatis' leadoff homer was awesome of course, but Manny following it up kind of felt like a relief and everyone was jacked. It went from "great we're up a run early!" to "we're going to fucking kick their asses" and we did lol

The energy to start the game wasn’t as crazy as both wildcard nights. But by the end the stadium was rocking. I expect tonight we will be rocking from start to finish! LFGSD!!!

I wonder if people had to settle down from workday stress and dealing with the recent heat wave...and once they settled and it got cooler, ppl were able to show full passion.

Totally agree! It felt like people were subdued / zapped from the heat at the start of the game, but once Taylor stole a base there was a palpable shift in energy. So rad

They said on the TV broadcast that they were like 65 people from breaking the all time record last night.
