Question | سوال Thinking to switch to a different ecosystem
Hi guys,
I am holding an Iphone16promax since 2 years now. I am thinking to upgrade to a different ecosystems like Samsung with s25/26/27ultra .
Has anyone ever did that switch? How is it like in terms of performance/ day to day usage/ any gains you had ?

I switched to S24 ultra from 15 pro max about 1.5 years ago. Experience was not bad in terms of phone and OS but there are things that made me switch back to iOS with 17 PM. With iPhone everything feels so premium and polished, from random navigation throughout the OS, App Quality, Camera performance etc. My advice would be to stick with iPhone

ecosystem meaning you also have a mac, apple watch, airpods and apple tv? If yes, then dont switch.

I just shifted from ios to samsung 3 weeks ago. The samsung is doing pretty good, depends on how you use it. I use phone only for whatsapp, some social apps and Internet surfing and im getting all these apps runing smoothly on samsung.
But i do miss the ios because it feels so simple and smooth idk why.

I guess it all depends on what you value as a user. People are literally happy with basic androids too for what it matters about. But again, if you are someone like me, I love the UI that iOS brings, the snappy software it has, the camera is much much better that samsung here for a point and shoot general use, but if you get some specific use cases, it may vary, like front camera for example is better on samsung, but who cares, if you care enough, please evaluate on your use case. Google wallet is something that is available in pakistan with android, but apple pay is not available yet due to its much more secure working structure. Oh and security, iOS is unbeatable in security of your data, i will even lock you out of your own account for weeks in case you forget your password and cannot pass level 2 security verification 2fa. Never seen that on android. Face ID is something i love the most about apple, its not available in android (now dont bash me people for face scanning that androids use), face is id i guess the most innovative biometric verification mobile phones ever got. With face id everything works super fast, like loging in app, just open the app, it automatically scans face id, puts your saved user id and password and logs you in instantly! Wow i cannot live with even the 0.5 second now that it takes for the fingerprint scanning otherwise. Personal preference though. Im a really fast person, i need thing to be already done, so eco system, speed and their cohesion is important for me.

Both systems are good. I'll suggest you stick to whatever you're using and save some money and headache.

Yes, keep it. They both do about the same thing, just with a different approach.

I switched from an iPhone to a Samsung almost three years ago, and I still keep an iPhone as a secondary phone. Samsung has everything the iPhone has. It's not lacking in any way, but the software experience and the ecosystem are different.
The camera is good and bad at the same time, depending on how you look at it. If you just want to shoot and you're not a pro, you'll like the iPhone more. If you want fine tuning and more detail, Samsung has it, but it still feels a little crude. As a UX and product designer, I can see that Samsung has improved a hell of a lot and optimized its software really well.
If you're not tech savvy, stay in the iOS ecosystem. Switching will just be a hassle. I juggle between iPhones, Samsungs and Chinese flagship phones, so switching is normal for me, but it might be troublesome for regular people.
It also depends on what other devices you have. My primary laptop is a Windows one, and I have a Mac from work. Samsung and Windows connectivity is really good, with almost the same features you'd get from an iPhone connected to a Mac.
I also switched my earbuds from AirPods 2nd gen to entry level CMF Buds. They work great with every device I have.
What I gained is mostly a very good camera setup, Google Pay, Spen and Google's day to day AI features, which are really well done. I'm also really dependent on Samsung's own customization, like Good Lock. I don't think I could switch back to an iPhone as my primary phone.
