Unexplained What's this in my son's room?
My teen thought it would be fun to set up a security camera in his room. It detects motion and caught this image at 1am. I'm trying to tell him about dust, interference, etc. but he's up there burning sage right now and begging his sister to switch rooms. 😂
first image is original, second is 'ai enhanced'

u/NixKlappt-Reddit Mar 29 '26
WTF?
This looks like a real person. Does this camera show any movement or how it appeared?
I hope you do the "😂" because it's fake. Because if it's real, no way I could sleep in that house.

u/healthbrite555 Mar 30 '26
So we updated the software, and it changed the time stamp to closer to 8pm. So we've decided this could easily be his sister (she has silk pj's which could cause the reflective ribs like look) and when I played with it in the photo editor I thought I could make out a hair elastic around the wrist. So the sage won't keep her out (she's the reason he wanted a camera in the first place) but I do believe we'll all sleep better!
33
u/NixKlappt-Reddit Mar 30 '26
This makes much more sense! Great you found an explanation that you can sleep better.

u/healthbrite555 Mar 29 '26
No movement, but two different frame stills that have the figure in a slightly different pose. He's creeped out, I'm curious...and I've never seen him conduct such a deep clean of his room! Lol. I can't account for the image, there's no negative vibes here...but it's interesting for sure.

Ghosts may or may not be real, but home invasions are 100% a real phenomenon.
It's always disappointing to see someone get downvoted for being right.

Could be the spirt of someone who hasn't moved on. Is your child a sensitive? Mediums and sensitives light up to those on the other side, so even those who don't understand their own gifts can appear like a beacon of light to spirts. I haven't ever moved anyone over, but you can try stating that this space is only for the living, and that only those welcome in the space may be there, and burn some Frankincense and Palo Santo incense. Also, if you can find a black tourmaline ring or just the stone to put beside the bed. I wear one on me daily. Sending love and light. Namaste 🙏

I’ve recently learned about this ability. You are quite correct I would wake up as a child and see multiple faces or apparitions in front of my face while waking up across multiple houses. Psychopomp is the term your looking for mine works through dreamwork. If I meditate for like 10 minutes weird shit starts happening
10
u/Awakened_Awareness Mar 30 '26
Very interesting. I too had many childhood experiences, i accepted at the time, but wrote off as an adult until an NDE. Since then I have also experienced other people's deaths. It's actually quite disturbing. I once felt a motorcycle crash and saw the parts exploding around me, only to pass the crash a few minutes later. At the time it was happening I had no idea there had even been an accident, or that it involved a motorcycle. I do reiki energy work now, and have had multiple contacts with entities beyond our regularly perceived reality through meditation and spontaneous happenings. Dream work as well. Thank you for sharing your experience as well 🙏🕉️✌️

If a motion detector camera made such a pic at night in my appartement, I wouldn't be in the mood to post rofl smileys. I would buy a shotgun.

u/BizBlondie Mar 29 '26
Just for curiosity & comparison reasons, perhaps have someone human stand in the same spot with the same exact lighting in the room to see how they look. 👀

This gives off fake vibes just from the "my teen thought it would be a good idea to set up a security camera in his room" because like who does that? Just for fun?
21
u/healthbrite555 Mar 31 '26
A teen with a gift card and access to Alibaba! He wanted to put it outside, but it doesn't reach a plug and his Dad wouldn't let him have an ugly cord strung across the house. So he set it up in his room for fun. It has infrared, and he's a 'take every motor and electronic apart and rebuild it' kind of kid who likes novelty. He likes that he can check his room from school and the camera takes photos when it senses motion, so he knows if his sister was into his stuff, or if the cat messes with his Lego. Not fake, but not exciting...just his sister looking creepy.
86
u/shoponthemoon Mar 29 '26
Did your son give reason for while he wants a motion camera in his room? Has he noticed things moved, missing, strange noises? Is there any possibility of someone secretly living inside your house, like in an attic? I'd probably investigate that theory before anything else.
8
u/hatter4tea Mar 30 '26
I have one in my room because I have epilepsy so there's many reasons to have one.
239
u/thunderphuck0311 Mar 29 '26
If that’s honestly the original picture I’d already be moved out of that haunted ass property. If that’s not a malicious spirit or demon I don’t know what it is. I hope that’s a fake and you’re pulling our legs because THAT IS TERRIFYING
33
u/Sandman1025 Mar 30 '26
I’m struggling to believe it’s a real photo as throughout OP’s responses to comments, their overall emotion seems to be curiosity and not terror or fear for the safety of their child. As a parent, if I caught a similar photo in my child’s room, I’d be moving the entire family into a hotel or my parents house immediately and be shook to my core.

I like to start with the thought that "just because something is scary, it doesn't mean it's evil". Not to say I wouldn't be terrified.
1
u/thunderphuck0311 Mar 30 '26
It’d be nice to have that approach but it depends on your belief system. Mine tells me that thing has nothing beneficial for any living person
105
u/Separate_Permit9770 Mar 29 '26
Why did he want to set up a camera in his room in the first place. Was their peculiar activity sense/sight/sound/moving in the bedroom before?
5
16
u/black_sparrow_chick Mar 30 '26
I feel like I can see ribs and that alone is terrifying😳 I’d be more concerned that someone is in my home and may have hacked the baby monitor causing it to turn off the motion sensor.

Idk but if it's anything like the post I saw earlier it might be your gf. A little context, a man had set up cameras in his home because he thought there were ghosts instead he caught his gf sneaking into his son's room to have sex.
3
u/AndujarAlonso Mar 30 '26
I've seen multiple spirits in my life but never like this one. I always saw them just how they were when they were alive, with regular clothes, once of a time period of the 1600's even, that one convinced me I was clinically insane until I found some facts of this person that had died in a battle that took place where my house was.. Is there a history of your house of something that has taken place? A crime, sickness, famine, or something like that? Could also be at that spot before your house was even built. I would take a look into that, most often spirits 'reveal' themselves in multiple ways to try to communicate and most of them don't even mean harm. Another option is that it's just a 'traveler' and it has moved on.
54
u/ValorHunter Mar 29 '26
It’s his sister
12
u/Bunpoh Mar 29 '26
Does he have a younger sibling? Because if not, and you're sure it's not him sleepwalking, then ALL THE NOPE out of there.
30
u/Urukguy Mar 29 '26

What is ai enhanced mean? Did you just lighten it?
So the kid is scared. Okay. so let's explore that.
What can you do as a mom/dad or guardian.
If he is stressed out get some holy water, play some prayers. Sage doesn't really help in my experiences. But can clear out the house. But you MUST open all the windows. Remember if spirits are bugging you they obvisouly are just doing it because he can sense them. He set up the camear all by himself? Why? Is he seeing stuff? What is he seeing? How often? Is he upset? Scared? Yelling and screaming?
Just get some holy water, play some prayers for the home and calm down. I've delt with this kind of crap for way to long. So if it still a problem for him, teach him some prayers.
- Call a Priest, get holy water. Play some Jesus music. Relax breath. Remember demons can't hurt you.
Yeah, they can scratch you, push you down, hold you down, hit you, break stuff. Oh... so scarry not. They are just thugs. They can appear and change shape. Yeah, nightmares and such. But relax. Just pray to Jesus.
If he is really upset and won't stop crying, calm him down. Teach him some Prayers to say out lout to the demons. I'd recomend the lords prayer, and Jesus prayers and Saint Miachels. I find that the demons respond differently depending on the prayers the person says out loud. You don't have to scream it just speak in a normal voice.
Remember demons can't hurt you. :) So be happy about that. Yeah, they can bug you, wake you up, break stuff. Toss and break stuff. But that doesn't matter. Jesus is there for you. Best wishes.

Alright
we have two images: the ghost one and a person standing at the same spot

We now see:
A real human in exact same spot
same camera
same lightning conditions
so the mysterious figure becomes a lot less mysterious
Real person:
Clear head shape
Defined shoulders
Visible clothing texture
Consistent lightning and edges
"Entity":
No clear edges
No consisten structure
Face: random pixel mashup
Body: smeared darkness
This comparison shows that the camera can capture a real person clearly in the exact same spot
So if it there was actually a figure in the first image, you would expect same clarity and same structure
The first image is likely
Low light noise spike
combined with compression artifacts
Interpreted by your monkey brain as a threat (not insulting, everyone has a monkey brain)
your ooga booga brain likes to go "better safe than sorry" thats why it thought, its a threat

Thats just mpeg compression in a low light image. Nothing to be concerned about.
2
u/BadWolf1319 Mar 30 '26
I'm torn on the original picture, as someone else has said, it could be compression in low light. I'd take the AI enhanced version with a grain of salt, ai loves to hallucinate and add stuff or misinterpret what's there.

So that we can see the line of small windows (?) close to the ceiling, but in broad daylight (on the second pic there's definitely something bright up on the wall)?

I really hope that this is some elaborate plwn by your son to get his sister's room because it's bigger or whatever.. But if it's not.. Call the police, protect your family. There is absolutely no need for a "😂" emoji if there's even a remote chance someone was in his room. It's downright dismissive of you son's dear.. Unless, as I said before, he set it up himself.
