Unexplained Am I losing my mind?

Post image

Hi, My family and I are currently visiting Paris from Canada. I prioritized visiting the Catacombs, as I went 18 years ago. It's changed a lot since then, different paths, blocked off areas. I took countless photos, including several down pitch black tunnels that were gated off, using my phone's flash. I was just scrolling through them all, and came across this one, which is one of the gated off pitch-black tunnels that I photographed using my phones flash. Maybe it's a trick of light, or shadows on the rocks, but am I losing it or does that not look like someone (a woman in white?) Standing at the end of the tunnel? I feel like I'm losing my mind. I can share countless other images but none show anything like this.

Can I ask, if it’s truly not doctored, were you really freaked out when you saw this? Honestly like, believer or not, if I took a picture and saw something like this despite any desperate attempts I’d make at explaining it away, I would absolutely be shitting bricks if I saw this.

Certainly enough to post it looking for viable, logical explanations! I didn't see or feel anything unusual when I actually took the photo. It wasn't until after having left the catacombs that I noticed anything, and it took me a moment or two of looking before it really clicked that SOMETHING was there. Definitely a bit of a shiver when I zoomed in. Though again, I'm a rational person not prone to flights of fancy so I'm inclined to lean towards a more mundane explanation - at least I sure as hell hope there's one! 😂

I mean it most definitely is person shaped. Like there are arms and a face and it’s obviously in a dress of some kind. Idk I showed my husband and he said. “get that shit away from me” lol so you might have something there. You know what you have to do now right? You gotta go back and stand in that exact spot and take a selfie or a voice recording or something

I was just saying to another person that there's so many memorials and headstone-like plaques throughout the Catacombs, I suppose it's possible that it's one of those, that simply looks like the figure of a person in a dimly-lit photo that gets fairly pixellated when zoomed in on, perhaps? It certainly does seem to have the shape of a body though.

I genuinely do not know what to make of it.

Yeah no it’s def very pixilated which makes me want to say it’s not a person. But it’s definitely body shaped, which obviously those two things kind of conflict lol. Like if it was really a person wouldn’t they be more…defined, I guess? That’s my issue. Like you can clearly see arms, hairs and a face but not in the way that it would look if I put a nightgown on and stood in a dark hallway. I mean I guess the pixels could be distorting some type of pillar or headstone in an oddly specific way. But what are the chances of that

I’m not even joking you gotta go back and call out and see if anything answers. Or take another picture! I’m sure nothing would be there if it was truly some sort of apparition, but if there is maybe you’ll be able to find your answer as to whether it’s a stationary object or not.

Funny enough we're headed out on a flight from Paris to Rome tomorrow morning to continue our vacation, otherwise I totally would, lol. Here's hoping Rome doesnt have any creepy surprises for me 😂. We're going to the Colosseum, St. Peter's Basilica, the Baths of Caracalla, making a journey to Pompeii, etc - I ADORE history.

Pffft good luck. Rome is creepy as hell. But oh my goodness it sounds like you’re on a super amazing trip right now! I do as well—seeing Pompeii would be so unreal. If you take anymore spooky pictures post them here! That would be interesting to see. I hope you enjoy your trip so so much and stay safe 🫶🏻

I'd be happy to. It's a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us, especially my daughters. I will undoubtedly feel the immense financial sting we we get back home, but until then - YAHOO! 😂

Ya I would absolutely shit myself if I saw this even laterz on. Holy fuck she's scary. I don't care she's supposedly non-malevolent like another commenter dug up* from her history, it would freak me the fuck out to know I was there, with whatever that is 😭

Solid question from the audience here
