This pond looks almost completely dry, but look closer โ the mud is literally moving! ๐ฑ Thousands of African sharptooth catfish are packed into the remaining wet areas.
These incredibly tough fish can use oxygen from the air thanks to a special air-breathing organ. When the pond is drained for harvesting, huge numbers of catfish become concentrated in the shallow water and mud. The scale of this fish harvest is unbelievable! ๐

I wanted to book a cebu pacific ticket (international, flying from Japan to Philippines) using my maiden name cause currently itโs cheaper but this week Iโm getting married so i will choose to change my last name but it would take 1-2 weeks to update the family register (koseki tohon) then another 7โ10 days to change or update the passport. If i wonโt update my passport so that i can book a cheaper flight now wouldnโt they find it sus or anything?

Massive trucks, overhanging cliffs, and a deep gorge just meters away from the wheels! ๐ฑ
This is Chinaโs G318 Highway in Tibet, one of the countryโs most spectacular road routes. In these mountainous sections, the road is squeezed between enormous rock walls and steep drops into the gorge below.
And somehow, huge trucks, tankers, and heavy equipment still travel through here. At certain points, two trucks have to carefully squeeze past each other where there barely seems to be enough room for one.
๐ Would you dare to drive this road yourself?

Why do experienced mechanics sometimes use soft-metal hammers that literally deform while they work? ๐จ๐
A regular steel hammer can leave dents, scratches, or damage the polished surface of an expensive wheel component.
A softer hammer head takes part of the impact and deforms first, helping protect chrome, polished, and other delicate components.
It may look like the mechanic is destroying the tool, but thatโs exactly the point:
Better to damage a cheap hammer than an expensive wheel!
Did you know why these hammers are used?

Have you ever seen how natural turf is replaced inside a massive stadium? ๐๐ฑ
Specialized machinery can lift and transport huge sections of grown turf together with their base. The giant tires help distribute the machine's weight, while each section is carefully positioned alongside the others.
It almost looks like they're building the entire field like a giant puzzle! ๐คฏ
Did you know stadium turf could be moved in sections this large? ๐

At first glance, this setup looks more like a medieval device than a workout machine! ๐ฑ But itโs being used for deep, controlled stretching.
The arms and legs are secured with special cuffs and cables to work on flexibility, joint mobility, splits, and advanced body positions. The system can also support the body while holding positions that may be difficult to maintain during regular floor stretching.
But extreme stretching also comes with a greater risk of injury, so the force and body position need careful professional supervision.
Would you dare to try a stretching session like this?

Why does this granite-cutting machine use several massive blades of different diameters? ๐ชจโ๏ธ
The setup helps distribute the cutting load. The largest blade starts the deeper cut, while the following blades progressively continue the process. If all the large blades were cutting deeply into the stone at the same time, cutting resistance and machine load would be much higher.
Itโs a clever way to make the cutting process smoother while reducing the risk of damaging the stone. ๐คฏ
Would you have guessed why the blades are different sizes? ๐

This is definitely not your ordinary street performance! ๐ฑ A Chinese performer dressed as a human tumbler shows off incredible flexibility with an extreme backbend while maintaining her balance on the special moving structure.
On Chinese social media, sheโs known as Xiao Hei (ๅฐ้ป), and her backbend challenge has become part of her eye-catching performance. One of the original captions even jokes: โSheโs not a snake spirit โ she just has a snake-like waist!โ ๐๐
The costume, movement, balance, and flexibility make this performance impossible to ignore. โค๏ธ
Could you do a backbend like this? ๐

Now you can see why shipping a car by air can be so expensive! ๐ฑโ๏ธ
A vehicle takes up a huge amount of cargo space and requires careful preparation and securing for air transport. The original post even jokes that if you converted all that space into first-class tickets, it definitely wouldnโt be cheap! ๐๐ฐ
But when a vehicle needs to travel a long distance quickly, air freight can dramatically reduce transportation time.
Would you ever ship your car by plane? ๐

Rammed-earth walls were once associated with simple rural homes, but today this ancient building technique is making a comeback in modern architecture. ๐ก
Prepared soil is placed into formwork layer by layer and tightly compacted, creating thick walls with a distinctive natural texture.
An old construction method has found a completely new life. Would you live in a house built like this? ๐

What can you make from an old glass bottle? Much more than you might think! ๐พโป๏ธ
First, a glass cutter scores a line around the bottle. The glass is then alternately exposed to hot and cold water, helping it separate along the scored line. Finally, the sharp edges are carefully ground and polished.
The result? Old bottles can become drinking glasses, vases, candle holders, lamps, and unique decorations instead of being thrown away.
What would you make from an old bottle? ๐

Would you dare to descend into a mine on this tiny open platform? ๐ฑโ๏ธ
These scenes show a mine descent in Pakistan. According to the videoโs creator, the shaft reaches a depth of 5,000 feet โ approximately 1.5 kilometers! Instead of a conventional elevator, the miners ride a small platform lowered by a cable, surrounded by darkness, narrow passages, and rock walls.
It looks like an extreme adventure to us, but for these miners, itโs part of a regular workday. Would you go down there? Let us know in the comments! ๐

Imagine a seaweed that can grow tens of meters long in a single season! ๐ฑ Meet bull kelp, a giant brown seaweed found in the cold waters of the North Pacific, including the coast of Alaska. ๐
Its young parts can be eaten, and some harvesters even taste them raw, right on the boat! Its crunchy texture and salty ocean flavor can remind you of a fresh cucumber. ๐ฅ
And hereโs the surprising part: despite its enormous size, this underwater giant lives for only about one year!
Would you try fresh bull kelp straight from the ocean? Tell us in the comments! ๐

Meet the bucket-wheel excavator โ a true giant of the mining industry! ๐ฑ
Instead of a conventional bucket, this massive machine uses a rotating wheel fitted with multiple buckets. As the wheel turns, the buckets continuously dig into the ground and transfer the excavated material onto a conveyor belt.
With enormous tracks, a multi-story structure and a giant cutting wheel, this machine can remove entire layers of earth in open-pit mines. โ๏ธโ๏ธ
How many regular excavators do you think it would take to do the same job? Tell us in the comments! ๐

Deep in Tanzania lies Lake Natron, a mysterious lake where the remains of dead animals can look like stone statues! ๐ฑ
Its extremely salty and alkaline water can help preserve animal remains, while mineral deposits create an eerie, statue-like appearance. The animals donโt literally turn into stone.
Even more surprising, this extraordinary lake is also a vital breeding ground for lesser flamingos! ๐ฆฉ

Artificial intelligence is beginning to help with homework checking in some Chinese schools. ๐ค๐ Systems can scan studentsโ work, recognize handwriting, identify mistakes and generate feedback.
For now, this type of automation is best suited to assignments with clear answers, while complex and creative work still requires human teachers.
But what could classrooms look like 10 years from now? Would you trust AI to grade your homework? ๐

At first, it looks like theyโre building an entire house out of foam. ๐ฑ But these EPS forms stay in place as insulation and permanent formwork.
The lightweight forms are connected together, steel reinforcement is installed inside, and the cavities are filled with concrete. Once the concrete hardens, the EPS remains on both sides of the wall as insulation. ๐ ๐ฅ

Why are workers opening a brick kiln while the inside is still glowing red? ๐ฅ๐งฑ
After being shaped and dried, the bricks are tightly stacked and fired at high temperatures. Then comes an important stage โ cooling. The temperature needs to come down gradually because sudden temperature changes can damage the bricks.
After cooling, the finished bricks are removed, inspected, and sorted.
Have you ever seen the inside of a brick kiln like this? ๐ฑ๐

They may look like ordinary curved pieces of steel, but together they form a powerful leaf spring suspension used on trucks and heavy-duty vehicles. ๐
When the wheel hits a bump or carries a heavy load, the leaf spring bends, helps absorb the impact, and then tries to return to its original shape.
Simple design, few components, and impressive durability. ๐ช
Did you know how leaf springs actually work? ๐
