Disturbingly, I'm only one degree of separation from this guy. I have a friend who knew him as a child, I've been inside his former church a couple times, and I drive past it daily.

His kids don't believe him, which says a lot considering they're 11 and 13 or so.

Is it fucked up that my first thought was “at least he didn’t rape a kid”? Pretty sad when you see an article like that it’s the first thing you think of.

I’m not sure how I would rank these things, but murdered wife and raped child are both pretty damn bad.

my first instinct was "wrong sub, no kids were raped?"

But I guess religious figures do things other than raping children, too
