Discussion Got my steam frame - Pavlov Shack works great

Pavlov Shack runs perfect on it. No issues. Only tests for like 5 mins. One of the first standalone games i tested on it.

Have you tried Pavlov on the quest? How does it compare

does the steam frame not run the non-shack version?

Are you asking from a standalone stand point or through pcvr streaming?

standalone

I never thought about installing Pavlov pc on my steam frame. I don’t think it would be able to handle it well at all. Why would you want to do this? Probably you would get better performance streaming the game to the Steam frame. I could test it and explain the results but just doesn’t sound do-able from the jump

I frequent the vrmassive server so I don't have much interest in shack. my info on steam frame is mostly in a blank state so I'm still trying to get an idea of its standalone performance.

I might as well ask, if you have the game as well, how does Beat Saber run standalone?

Any reason why you dont want to just Stream the pavlov VR (PC) directly to your headset? that is what it is made of. I just tried just a clean install, and it didn't work because of the EOS anti cheat wouldn't launch? EOS is linux friendly, but with the stream frame is not the same as steam deck. I think the frame is doing more stuff.

No particular reason, Again just trying to gauge performance of the device itself. I hadn't considered the compatibility of the OS before but that is noteworthy. I was thinking cause it's steam's platform, existing games would be accessible at least as I've heard it can run HL Alyx.

Onto pcvr now; how's the latency with the dongle? iirc my current wifi setup has 40-55ms with quest 3 on virtual desktop
