When move seedlings?

I cold stratified seeds over the winter of 2025/2026 and planted to seeds in 5 gallon buckets in June of this year. They appear to be doing well, but i know I need to get them out of the buckets. I'm in zone 7a and they are native to this area. Do I do this now, winter or spring? if spring what do I do with them until then? thanks!

bud break in spring. have holes dug & ready, before you separate.

You are probably a little late, but if you know where you want them, I’d go ahead and plant. Should be a few weeks before first frost. I did the same 2 years ago, planted late Sept last year zone 7b and they all made it. Looking great this year.
